Ford Streetka 1.6i V8 Duratec

I had seen these funny cars around town and thought they looked a bit odd but when the time came to change my tired convertible sports car for something more modern the Ford StreetKa suddenly became more noticeable. What can I say, its fun, it's fast, it's economical, it's everything you could possibly want from a car with two seats. The hood is very easy to operate by one person and can be put up or down in twenty seconds flat (which fits perfectly with the british weather!) I could probably put it up or down in about 15 seconds now that I am more used to it. The hood folds down into it's own lockable storage space which is located above the boot area. Security is good, to operate the hood either up or down needs the ignition key and although probably not recommended, it seems reasonably safe to leave the car locked and alarmed with the hood down for a very short time. Storage space inside the car is a bit sparse, there is a small glove box, a storage net between the seats and a lockable cubbyhole for cd's, valuables etc. and there is also a small space behind the seats so its fine really. Inside the cubbyhole is a keyhole to open the boot if the battery ever runs out in the remote. The boot space is huge, much bigger than the Ka and probably bigger than my other car which is a 1,4 Fiesta. All in all, it's a fantastic car, the 1.6i engine makes it nippy, it accelerates well and cruises nicely at 60 - 70 but just sometimes I feel I am looking for a higher gear.
