If you are unfortunate to fall for their veneer of respectability you could end up buying one of their 'approved second hand range' that turns out to have 'serious previous damage' and upon being in collision with a mouse ... ...Having being told that his new car had been 'thouroughly inspected' and was 'in excellent condition for its age and mileage' this customer believes Westaway Motors to be either miss selling cars or incompetent.
Dealing with this company has been like stepping into the excrement of a diseased dog. Truely vile and something you would not want to do again.

...I had been to another Ford dealer in Derby, and been given the best price they could do. I then went to the Sandicliffe garage and asked them to beat this price, which they did - albeit by a few pounds! I bought the car on a Finance package similar to Options.
Once I had agreed the price, everything was reasonably plain-sailing. I originally wanted the car a week later than I actually picked it up, but asked the garage if I could collect it a week ... ...The garage are trying to sort out the problem and are ordering new mats and speaking to Ford to get the correct shape. They were very helpful and apolagetic.
I would recommend this garage to anyone wishing to get themselves a good service, or a good deal! ...

...I've put this opinion under Ford as thats where my experience lies but what I say really goes for all manufacturers. Before I give you all my tips for saving money without going abroad I'll just put forward a bit of information about why you find it hard to purchase from abroad.

I sometimes get a little worked up when I hear the people on "Watchdog" telling the viewers that the manufacturers deliberately ... ...continent. Yes the manufacturers are legally obliged to provide the car to the dealers but they won't do it very quickly, this is true. What is never mentioned though is that the manufacturers will not supply ANY car quickly. The dealer doesn't order a car when you do, he sells you one which he has already bought from the manufacturer, maybe several months ago.

I purchased a Ka this time last year. This was my first own car as the rest of the time I had been driving my parents cars. As it was my first car to buy, I was a fore front of heavy sales pressure. As I was looking around the cars, I had a sales person come up to me and tryed to sale me a car, but I had a good idea what I wanted. For some reason, they wanted me to go for a feista, yet i new that it is more expensive to run and insure, although it ... ...at a KA, they went out there way to find me a second hand one that was in good condition. Two days later, I received a phone call from them saying that they had a car for me and did I want to look at it. As soon as I saw it, I fell in love with it. They cleaned the car up and did necessary work to it e.g. taking a few scratches out and a chip on the window screen and away I went after signing the forms.

Not forgetting the Ford Escort that survived nearly 30 years of production from its Mark 1 body up to the most recent Mark 6.
They scooped the market in the 80's with their hot hatch boy racer cars such as the XR2(fiesta) XR3 and RS Turbo (Escort) and XR4 and Cosworth(Sierra's). They have moved away from that now but tackle the market in a different way.

One of the smallest ... ...revolutionised the design of most Ford cars.
It suits new drivers because of its cheap insurance and its very practical around town because of its petrol consumption and size.
Dont take it on long journeys as it is not built for it. Its too small and does have the comfort for it.

Next up in size from the Ka and a very durable model. It has been around in its many guises since the late 70's.

This is basically a bigger than average MPV which is based on the much loved Ford Transit but in such a way that it retains its impressive van abilities but also incorporates excellent passenger car comfort and equipment. When I originally bought it there were not a lot of them on the roads, but now they are being seen more and more.
With all the creature comforts that the Tourneo offers, I feel that it is in a strong position to win over the traditional MPV drivers who have a VW Touran, a Ford Galaxy, a Vauxhall Zafira or a Fiat Multipla. Features included in my vehicle are:-

Driving:
The Fiesta's forte. Ford really knows how to make cars handle, so even the cheapest Fiesta will thrill the driver in you. Steering is crisp (all models have a leather wheel), corners are taken tidily and enthusiastically yet the ride remains supple too. A class act, enhanced on the Zetec S model to perfection. Indeed, it's better than the ST, which has more grip but less finesse. The ST's engine is quicker but noisier than the 1.6-litre Zetec-S too. No Fiesta engine is quiet though, while road and wind noise also join the cacophony. But supportive, high-set seats and a spot-on driving position pleases, making up for the lack of space for the clutch foot.

At the start of this review I am going to let everyone know why little old me has been missing from ciao for a while. I am currently trying to tidy my house up, as it?s gone up for sale since Monday just gone. Since I am now married I am looking to move to a newer house, and my time is required on painting everything in site ? This includes my pet Chinchillas is they would stay still long enough!!!.
