Dealer put wrong number plate on front of new XReg Ka3 when purchased which I did not notice. Drove illegally for 15 months. When selling it privately a buyer accepted vehicle and price but decided to check with HPI. Reading off the number from front of car, they told him that number belonged to a Ford Focus Ghia and he should not touch it! Sale lost. Claimed on Dealer to correct fault and buy car back at agreed sale price. They offered price £400 below sale price. Eventually agreed to replace incorrect number and arrived to do so with another wrong number. Police confirmed driving the car was illegal though offence not "prosecutable" My Insurers confirm that depending on circumstances my cover may have been void if an accident had occurred.
more info about the problems you had with the dealer than info about the Ka

Sorry, you loose the plot when you start talking about claiming on the garage. You should have obtained the services of a good solicitor at that point. We all make mistakes, except Ford and their dealers, they just make money!!

I don't think you can base all Ford dealers on your one unfortunate dealing. Fionaxx
