With his singular retro-rock vision, Chris Isaak had already graduated from cult figure to ... more
music-video heartthrob when he delivered this 1995 album. But if all the surface elements are intact, he has assimilated his chief vocal influences, Orbison and Elvis, even further, and Isaak's songs dig even deeper into his favourite subject, heartbreak, to shorten the distance between writer and singer. "Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing", the set's opener, employs the same growling rock-speak as George Thorogood's notorious "Bad to the Bone", but without a trace of irony--Isaak lashes the listener with the torment of a betrayed lover, telegraphing fear, desire, and anguish as he wheels from rumbling accusations to keening falsetto cries. Elsewhere, he withdraws to the more lyrical croon of his previous work, his band wreathed with the throbbing tremolo and ghostly reverb that are their natural elements. There's a folk-rock jangle to the lovely, forlorn "Somebody's Crying", a disarming directness to the simple but aching title song, and another burst of fevered agony, "Go Walking Down There", which gallops over a perfect mid-'60s guitar arrangement. For all its letter-perfect allusiveness, though, Forever Blue feels authentically heartbroken, not just cleverly crafted. --Sam Sutherland

Advantages: New way of gaming, attracts new gamers, sleek design Disadvantages: Graphics
Hey there! I'm going to be reviewing the Nintendo Wii as it's one of my favourites systems at the moment.
Now, the Nintendo Wii is very cheap for a great console ($250/£180) compaired to the other consoles like the PS3 and the Xbox, but I won't be getting into much detail about that.
I received my Nintendo Wii about a week after Christmas being in the right place at the right time, anyway, I shall crack on to the review. =P
It's obvious that Nintendo have carried on the sleek look to the Nintendo Wii from the DS lite which is good. The Nintendo Wii is small, eye catching and very beautiful to look at! It was much smaller than I thought it would be, it's also very light! As most of you know, the Nintendo Wii console sits in the grey stand which adds contrast to the design.
There is a blue light that surrounds the disc ...

While I was watching a country music channel quite a few years back, I was captivated by Chris Isaak's video for "Somebody's Crying". It wasn't just the video that had me interested, although Issak is always very handsome, and he appeared to be very much so during the footage, but rather the song. I have been a fan of Isaak's ever since his work with David Lynch on the "Wild at Heart" Soundtrack. His "Wicked Game" is a pure and haunting classic. It is clearly washed in the songs of yesterday that inspired Isaak, such performers as Roy Orbison and Elvis.
Loving "Somebody's Crying", I started looking for the album it would appear on. I found out that it was an album entitled "ForeverBlue". Along with expecting and awaiting its release date, I found out the story behind many of the songs that would be featured on the album ...
