Advantages: One singal paymeent get bbc channels no channel four. Disadvantages: lots to many to fit in.
...I already had a dish then in Maplin is saw the box and bought took it home linked it up to my motorized dish and started putting in the channel lists I thought it was all going too well it was. I shortly discovered that because it was beta it had a lot of bugs with everything like the remote it was very light and flimsy the buttons were set out in
A bad was that was just the start of problems.
There are actually very few FTA free to air channels you can get through this system and there are no smart card slots for getting paid or scrambled channels. I think you would be best off sticking with sky even if their dishes do rust quite quickly.
Anyway if you don't have a dish already it's definitely not for you because there is no dish supplied it's just the receiver box.

Advantages: Gives Free to View TV without subscribing to SKY Disadvantages: Not many ENglish Language stations yet
...to be programmable and can control other devices in your AV setup.
List price is around £200, street price is nearer the £150 mark.
Maplin even have 'B Grade' units for around the £100 mark, I bought mine on Ebay for £65 (possibly the original owner wasn't up to installing it correctly).
If your dish is set up correctly, this ought to work 'right out the box' and the UK version at least was set up with the English Language stations appearing first on the list (Lidl's kit is mainly intended for continental use, meaning the BBC is in the mid-600 range).

Advantages: Exellent colour quality, great signal, had no problems Disadvantages: occasionally loses signal
...Overview: I purchased this 2 months ago so far so good, I am very pleased with it, I previous used SKY dish then one day it had an accident -fell off from wall and broke :( then I decided it was time for a change so I bought myself a Triax 110 cm Satellite Dish, I am very satisfied with the Triax Satellite Dish and the picture quality is amazing
Good points: Great picture quality, very easy to set up and install the Triax satellite dish is fairly cheap, and has great reception and Great channel selection, this is better than Cable TV!!
Bad points: There are not a lot of bad things about the Triax dish apart from the fact that it is just a bit large, and occasionally you might lose the signal for 20 - 30 seconds, the remote takes time to figure out,
Conclusion: This is an excellent product I highly recommend it, the problem...

Generally a good mic. Suitible for stage or live use. As with all Shure gear, it's very durable and for a touring musician it can last quite a while. (but then so can any mic that's treated well)
It's a dynamic micropone (moving coil) so it does not... more
