The game is not just a normal car game, it is a proper driving sim much like the Gran Turismo series on Playstation. Although I got the wheel with the game I don't really use it much as it's difficult to control the car with, I think it's down yo the racing wheel being pretty bad and the game being pretty hard. If you own this game or want it just stick to the tried and tested S controller as this is the best way to control the driving in the game.
Forza is massive, there are more than 230 cars in the game from 60 different car manufacturers although there is a smaller selection of tracks. Even though there are a small selection of tracks it doesn't really matter as there is a lot of variation in each track in the game, there are real tracks as well as made up ones but they are all different and they all challenge you 'the racer' in varying ways. Each track is individual and will offer a variety of challenges whether it be a plain old oval track or a track with lots of tight twists and turns or even a track with long sweeping bends, whatever it is the track will challenge you because the game is a proper driving simulation, theres no arcade racing here, this is real stuff.
If your up for playing a challenging driving game then Forza is the one, it's as hard as it gets, infact it's challenging enough if you use the helping parameters such as driving line and abs brakes you'll still find it a challenge to drive, theres no roaring into corners and braking at the last second, you have to brake properly if you want to stay on the road. For the hardcore race fans you can even turn off auto shifting and drive the cars in manual, if you want to earn 100% bonus money you have to turn the game up to it's full difficulty meaning you have to turn off all the parameters. In Forza there is a racing line shown at all times and although this can be turned off I don't recommend you do this unless you want to crash, well you should at least use it to learn the track before turning it off as it turns red when you need to brake to show you how th track should be driven. Once you have learnt how to drive correctly it might be alright to turn the racing line off, it may feel a bit weird at first but you'll find it much more rewarding than being told where to brake.
To progress in Forza it's all about getting enough money to level up, you have a target to get to and once you get to that level new stuff will be unlocked and you can win new cars and new parts become available to buy for your cars. Of course as you unlock new races things become tougher, as the cars get faster the racing gets more competitive as you can imagine, especially in the GT classes where all the cars are of a similar standard. Each car is rated on a scale of 1-10 in different areas, acceleration, top speed, handling and rarity. The better a car is at these the higher the cars class. There are several different classes within the game and cars of the same class usually race against each other especially as the game progresses but in the beginning the rules are not so strict on races and you can use really good cars to progress further in the game.
As well as progressing in the game it is fun to create a new look for your car, you can design all the decals on your car and make it look really good if your talented at designing things, if your not it doesn't really matter but it's fun to create your own car design anyway. Some people have gone to some extreme lengths and even managed to come up with star wars and halo designs on their cars and it looks really cool.
The only real problem with the game is that it just becomes tiresome, It just simply gets repetitive and even slightly boring, I think this is due to the shear size of the game, there are so many races to compete and things get a little bit samey although the game is a lot of fun in the beginning. In terms of races there are series where you have to complete in several races on the trot, normal races where just have to do one race at a time and long distance races where you have to race for ages round a track, it usually takes about 30 minutes for the long races, I think it's a good idea but it hurts your thumbs to play for so long and as the game is hard anyway it requires ultra concentration and these races are just unnecessary and dull.
In Forza the graphics are awesome, probably some of the best you will see on an original xbox, the car models all look great, the damage modeling is excellent and when your car hits the wall the car shows it very well, as well as the cars looking great the tracks do to, they are all well designed with nice looking skys and backgrounds. The actual road has a lot of detail, things such as skid marks and gravel patches all add to the realism of the game. If your after a good looking racing game this will certainly do the job
As well as graphics the sound is a key part of Forza, all the cars sound realistic and if you change the camera angle when racing the car will sound different just like in real life. For instance if you have the camera inside the car the cars engine noise will be louder and you will hear the screeching of tires more clearly you but if you have a distant camera angle you will have a reduced sound level thats not as intense. There is also music in the game and you can put your own custom soundtrack on the game. I would recommend doing this as the music that comes with the game is naff.
There are several different game modes in Forza, there is the career that will take up most of your time an arcade mode where you can win new cars for your career and a multiplayer mode where you can have up to 4 racers driving at once. Also you can compete in one off time trials and drag races if you want to. As well as this racing can be done online over xbox live and you can play your live career on here to try and get yourself some money for your offline career. Also you can join a team and race in it if you want to. All the various modes are good and will keep you going forever because there is so many of them.
I have to say the game is a little to hard for my liking and this is definitely not a game for a novice driver. If your a good at other xbox driving games it doesn't really make much difference as this a realistic sim not an arcadey PGR 2 style racer. The only real thing I can compare this too is the Gran Turismo series and if you like that and are good at it I would recommend this, it's not the most enjoyable racer but it certainly is a decent game. It's a shame it's so hard because the graphics are stunning and the AI is good.
The game can be picked up for next to nothing on amazon.co.uk or play.com or if you like ebay.co.uk there are several copies being sold on there. It's well worth a look as there is just so much content in this game and I would certainly recommend it considering you can pick up a copy for as little as £10

Forza motorsport. To give you an idea of exactly what this game is like all you have to do is imagine Gran Turismo on xbox. For those of you into Racing games you will know that forza and gran turismo are at the top of the chart titles. If your happier playing unrealistic, poor quality street racing games that look better than they play then this ... ...---COST---
With a forza 2 on the way and the xbox 360 out, the price of xbox games has fallen alot. You can now pick up Forza brand new for around £20. This is a great bargain and value for money as i have had the game since the release date over a year ago now and i have just reached a game completion percentage of around 88%!

...new content, then the infamous Forza demo from OXM came out and really dissappointed many as well as myself. Well, I'm glad that was just a demo... The opening movie almost looked like the GT4 opening with the same type of cinematics and a touch of American-ness. You start by creating a profile, then pick arcade or simulator mode, the arcade mode resembles GT4 where you select different classes of cars and tracks, many of them look exactly like GT4's ... ...you think GT4 is detailed, Forza blows it away. When you hit a metal fence, you actually feel and hear the fence scrapping the car! Graphically it is much more "technical" than GT4's blurring tricks to fool you, which does the job on non-techies, but Forza be prepared for eye candy. Pixel Shader is at work everywhere. I hit somebody, my hood is dented and scrapped, looks the part...

Mirror, signal and go go go. Forza Motorsport is a racing game. Select your car, play with it in the garage, upgrade parts and then you are ready to race.

Forza Motorsport is one of those games where you can't go around the track constantly accelerating. There is a skill to the driving and knowing the potential of your car. If you soup your car up too much you'll struggle to control it at tight corners - I find the fact that cars have something of an upknown upgrade threshold exciting - seeing how far I can push it until the car is basically undrivable!!

Forza Motorsport lets you get behind the wheel of some of the most realistic cars ever on a consol.
You can choose from more than 230 models from more than 50 different manufacturers, and then you can trick out your ride with custom paint schemes, body kits, spoilers and much more. The body kits and spoilers don't just look nice, but they also give you extra down force, allowing you to take corners much fast, but they also decrease you acceleration ... ...performance from ride height to adding an aftermarket turbo charger. You can even change the cars engine e.g. put a Mazda RX-7 engine in a Mazda MX-5. Which is great if you are playing online, as you opponents will think you have a slow Mazda MX-5, but really you have a fast Mazda RX-7.
One feature of this game I haven't seen before is that if you increase the difficulty level you will win more money from your races. So the harder you make the game, ...

Well i suppose all i can say about this game is that it is the best driving game i have ever been on its just so realistic to all the other car games i have been on. some of the best points about this game has to be first of all the graphics they are just amazing they have done such a great job with the details of the cars and tracks which gives you a more and better realistic driving experience.
Second of all has to be the career mode yes it takes ... ...not but i think this is a great aspect of the game i have been on this game for past five days none stop so get prepared to stay up late because once you start progressing through the career mode you wont want to leave the computer as you will be dying to see what cars are to be unlocked next.
Last but not least it also gives you the option to have the proper driving line to be taken on the tracks as this is a really big help as it tells you when ...

when i play ForzaMotorsport 2 on the xbox 360 i am still blown away by the amount of cars this game has to choose from.
there are more cars in this game than you would belive in fact well over one hundred cars are available in forza 2.
you have to work your way through the career mode to get the best start to this game as it is the best way to buy cars from your winnings, there are loads of ways to customize your cars with tune options and a paint shop with limitless possibilites.

Hello all, welcome to my review on ForzaMotorsport 2.
Ok there are many reasons why i've given this product a five star rating!
These are the good points:
This game is relatively cheap compared to other games.
It's a long game, which is great as it's excellent value for money.
The online gaming on this is absolutely brilliant! It shows you how many races you've won, come second or third, also how many you haven't won which is cool to show off towards your mates.
There are many tracks and cars which come with the game, but there are also some extra cars you can purchase as a package on Xbox live.
There is plenty of race tracks, and also they have included a package you can buy on Xbox live with further tracks which is worth getting.
The Arcade mode on this game is great fun too, as you can do exibition races, or time trial modes ...
Advantages: online car auction house graphics Disadvantages: gameplay online play career value for money
Forza Motorpsport is one of the most boring games money can buy. The gameplay graphics are actually pretty decent. The car choice and range is also quite extensive, as is the tracks. However, the game is incredibly boring to play, the responsiveness from the controller to the game isn't very good and it takes an age for any car to brake. The career is quite big, but once you have done 4 or 5 events (about 20 races) , everything seems to be the same every time you play it. The annoying braking, realy slow acceleration and the awful steering just makes the game awful. Forzamotorsport 2 is actually an Xbox 360 Classic meaning that it should be pretty good. Athough as you can tell, it obviously isn't. There is an online play section of the game, but to be honest, all it is is the career all over again. Apart from the computers are real ...
