's a shame Diesel don't do more to provide replacement straps for their watches. I did stumble across a customer review on Amazon who needed to replace their strap and contacted Diesel directly, only to be told that Fossil actually make the watches on their behalf - I don't know how true that is, but it a shame that it's not more straightforward to replace the strap. I reckon I may even be able to fix it...I'm just still trying to deal with the heartbreak of it breaking in the first place.

You can buy this watch from a number of retailers online, although it is no longer available on the Diesel website. I bought mine in France, and am not terribly familiar with which high street shops stock Diesel watches. The majority of the sites that sell this watch seem to be American, so I'm wondering if this watch is even ...

...so I bullied...sorry, that should read 'cajoled' my husband into buying me one, and he chose the Wittnauer Laureate 12M02 ladies' watch.
You've never heard of Wittnauer? I'm not surprised, though the company has been around since 1872. The reason you may never have heard of it is that although the watch is indeed manufactured in Switzerland, so can legitimately claim to be a Swiss watch, the company was formed to service the supposedly more demanding (and cheaper - the watches were and still are cheaper than the more well known Swiss brands) American market. Why did I buy this watch?
For 5 1/2 years I worked at Goldsmiths in Cardiff and always sold nice watches to everyone else apart from myself! So for my 18th birthday I decided to invest in a timepiece that would last me a lifetime and not date, like other fashion watches. Why a Raymond Weil? You may ask.
The previous year I went on a Raymond Weil training seminar and learnt allot about Raymond Weil's distribution in England and learnt more about the customer satisfaction they try to provide. i.e the turn around of a new battery (which is 10 days)- very quick compare to others, the organization of the company to aid good customer service, wether it be over the telephone when a customer wants to find out a question or to a supplier to order a new strap.
