Advantages one of only 2 books available for ACCA, BPP text not much better

I just thought Id add this to balance the previous 'review' or should I call it an advert. On the whole, I found these and BPP's books to be OK - better than a lot of academic books but still a long way from being perfect. On the other hand theyre pretty expensive, full of errors, and often not explained very well.
They are appoved publishers because these are the
only 2 publishers and theyve obviously hammered out some dodgy deal with ACCA - the advantages of being a part of duopoly. Come on ACCA you should be getting them to improve their texts or at least encourage some competition into the market not patting their backs for producing inferior texts and profiteering to boot !!

Repetition does not make something more helpful.

Whilst I am aware that these are Accountancy text books having qualified as an ACCA in 1999, that did not come out in your review. The fact that they are endorsed by ACCA should provide some comfort. A lot more detail is required, or sorry I should say some detail is required for you to get better ratings. If you need any more info or advice leave a note in my GB.
