Review of "Fox`s Rocky Bar"
I really like Rocky bars for a variety of reasons. They're in constant supply in our house because my Mom made a very groundbreaking discovery a few years back and would not let it go. The simple fact of the matter is, she was paying far too much for chocolate which was, in every sense of the word far too expensive.
Of course, if there are only one or two people living in a house, then it's probably fine to splash out on Dairy Milk or Heaven or Thorntons, but when there are six and three of those need something for their lunchboxes, I am afraid cheap and cheerful are the only option. After a little research I have found the following facts. At Asda, they sell a 5 pack of Dairy Milk bars for 1.41. They sell a 4 pack of Galaxy bars for 1.00. They sell a 10 pack of Rocky bars for 1.15. Any Mom's out there who hate shelling out for over expensive chocolate - this is an alternative.
Of course, just because Rocky's are cheap does not mean that they are not attractive nor tasty. They taste sweet, with an outer chocolate coating and a crumbly biscuit interior. They may be too sweet for some adults, but for children this little treat will satisfy without costing the earth.
The wrapper is also an attractive red colour with the words ROCKY in purple on the front. Now, I hear what you are saying. When you pay for a multipack of dairy milk bars which works out as 28 and a bit pence each instead of 11 and a half pence for the Rocky bars you say you are paying for quality.
This is an undeniable fact. Many people have never even heard of Rocky's, whereas Dairy Milk is a trusted brand. Then again... have you heard of Fox's? You have? Well that's good because they're the creators of Rocky bars. So, there is my verdict. These bars taste good, work ou cheaply and are the perfect accompaniment to those ham sandwiches and apple for the kids lunchbox during the credit crunch.
Couple of small bits off the back of the packet. They are made in a factory which also produces and uses nut ingrediants so not recommended if you have a nut allergy.
