Advantages: Compelling, fascinating, informative Disadvantages: Many disturbing parts
...years since the case of Fred and Rose West came to light. I remember it unfolding and how shocked I felt, as the amount of dead bodies increased, the police finding corpses under the cellar, the bathroom and buried in the patio. The now infamous 25 Cromwell Street, Gloucester became known as The House of Horrors. Fred West killed himself in prison on New Year’s Day, 1995, leaving Rose to face trial alone. She was found guilty on ten counts of murder ... ...before being killed. After death, Fred cut them up, often keeping several bones (perhaps as souvenirs) and burying the bodies in a series of pits he dug himself – in fields, then in the ground around two of his homes. They murdered hitch-hikers, runaways, kids in care – all female and often with troubled backgrounds. Advantages: Gripping Disadvantages: Can't believe everything you read
...I begin the journey of Fred and Rose West which begins with a look at his unnatural childhood. Some of the details are perhaps too mucky for a family website like this but suffice to say that Fred's mother provided him with his first sexual experience and his father taught him how to use farmyard animals as whores. I felt physically sick as I read the initmate details and it put me right off the shepherds pie they served on the aeroplane.
Right ... ...spree starts early on as Fred bumps off his first wife and her baby. They end up in the ground. Fred is also a sexual deviant who is obsessed with female bodies of all ages. But not just obsessed like most men because he takes it much further. When he finally meets Rose they embark upon a reign of murder that has epic proportions. A series of teenage girls and young women are dragged off the streets and are subjected to torture in the bowels of 25 ...
