I got this DVB-T stick as the one of the cheapest digital receivers for my computer so that I could watch and record TV in my bedroom. Installation and setup are relatively straight forward, with autoscanning for all available channels being one click away. However, reception was not great, and there were a few problems.
First, even though I brought and installed a brand new Digital Aerial for weak reception areas, although my reception isn't that bad (it works with other normal set top boxes perfectly), when watching certain channels the video and audio froze and restarted multiple times making the program unwatchable. Also certain channels were not available, such as channel 5 (some would say no great loss there), and some tuned in but when you turned over to them they didn't play the video, only audio.

Advantages: Small & Compact Disadvantages: Limited Reception In Areas
I bought this Freecom stick for a friend, but I tried it on my computer first. I found that the software provided can be extremely slow to open and move around in. The reception can be extremely good, but it can also be quite bad. It can be temperamental. It is light enough to carry around with your laptop, and is small. It can receive freeview channels, but not all off them can actually be received.
The nice thing about this device is that it can receive BBCi in areas. So this means that the world cup can be watch, also the Wimbledon tennis. Radio can also be received via the unit, which is a nice touch if you have bad reception while trying to watch the world cup on the BBC.
I would recommend this to people who are after a reasonably priced TV tuner, but if you want a better one, get an Ads Tech TV Tuner for around £100. ...
Advantages: Cheap and compact Disadvantages: Lack of Teletext and BBCi
I have had this for well over a year and am really impressed with it. It's cheap, small and comes with a free aerial and remote control. Below I will outline the advantages and disadvantages;
Advantages
Its small so it doesn't stick out too much and can be used on the move.
The supplied aerial can pick up all the freeview channels. (I live in a medium strength area so if you only recieve a weak signal then you may need an amplified aerial).
It comes with a free remote.
It's incredibly cheap (about £30, less than a freeview box for a tv and a fraction of the size!)
You can record your favourite TV program or film in high quality MPEG-4 with no copyright restrictions.
Disadvantage
It can't access UK Teletext or BBCi.
In conclusion, I think that this is the best DVB-T ...
