Freecom 400GB external USB Hard drive

Advantages: Fast, high capacity storage. Well built, looks good. 2 year warranty, No fan.
Disadvantages: No fan.

recover a full PC with all its partitions so I used something a bit more industrial in strength. I will have to have a look though as the manufacturers web site says the CD also contains encryption, compression and synchronisation tools. ############### # Conclusion ############### I bought this drive because it was cheap but had no great expectations. I can safely say I was proved utterly wrong in all my preconceptions. It's built like a tank and feels like a really solid and high quality piece of equipment and looks much better than the picture would indicate. The capacity is good, the speed is great and the price right now is excellent. If you need something for backing up or keeping big chunks of data such as movies, I can't recommend the Freecom 400Gb enough. a 2 year warranty is the icing on the cake. ...

Freecom 1TB External Hard Drive

Advantages: Simple Setup, great value for money
Disadvantages: Win 2000/XP/Vista only - not for Win 98/ME

I have previously purchased a Freecom 500 GB external drive drive and have been very happy with it's performance and reliability. So when the drive started to become 80% full it was time to look for some additional storage. I saw the new Freecom 1TB drive on Amazon and given my previous good experiences purchased one straight away. It arrived this morning (Tuesday) having ordered in the previous Friday, and all of this post free. For anyone that hasn't bought a Freecom external hard drive before, you get a very stylish drive unit, power adapter, leads and installation disk. Installing (in my case) took less than 5 minutes, most of the time was spent unpacking the pieces. Simply attached the usb lead, power pack and switched on. Instantly recognised by the Windows XP operating system as the next drive letter. The unit is virtually ...

Review of Freecom Hard Drive Hard drive 1 TB

Freecom Hard Drive 500gb

Advantages: Hugh storage space
Disadvantages: Extra cables around PC

This hard drive is perfect. It is 500gb in size, which is more than enough for storing hundreds of films, thousands of documents, music, etc... You will not run out of space for a long time. --------------- Installation --------------- The box came through the post, i opening it, pluged it in the mains, connected the USB cable into my PC, them inserted the instalation CD that came with it with some added software. The drive itself is plug and play, meaning on Windows XP, it will be recognised automatically. The default file system needs to be changed to FAT32 but this is an easy adjustment with a click of the mouse. ------ Use ------ The noise output is minimal, and so is the heat output. There is no fan so there isonly noise from the motor inside. The noise from the fans on my PC drowns that out, so i dont even notice ...
