Freecom External 3.5" 160GB Hard Drive
I first got the Freecom external hard 160GB hard drive when my internal one on my computer started to get clogged up with applications and other junk. So I decided to go and buy a Freecom external hard drive which is 160 Gigabytes in size.

Advantages: High capacity, Low price, high speed transfer Disadvantages: No fan, so heating up occurs.
I bought this hard drive just over a week ago - it's served me very well, and i've been surprised. It's labelled as a portable hard drive - and this is what it is. It's roughly the same size as the average hardback book, and is not much heavier.
It's made of an attractive grey material with a silver front, with a tiny little '160GB' light, that illuminates when then hard drive is on. It's not too large, and only has a small on/off switch on the ... ...adapter is included), and a USB2.0 socket. The hard drive comes with all the right software - its ready to use straight out of the box, just plug in and go.
Once plugged in, it appears as an external drive - and you can just drag and drop all of the necessary files onto it. I put all of my music and videos (about 70Gb) onto the drive straight away - this took about 45 minutes - relatively quick for such a cheap hard drive.

the Freecom 160gb external hard drive is a so easy to set up, just plug into your usb drive and your ready to use.
The main advantage of having an external hard drive is portability, you can store any files or programs and take them with you and plug into any computor with usb 2 ports.
I originally bought mine to store my main hard drive disc image in case i needed to do a complete disc rescue, because it is external it will work even if your main ... ...a full manual and the freecom media suite software which will enable you to format and partition your new hard drive if you want. I do not recomend installing the software, you do not need it to operate your hard drive as it is plug n play, I did install the software but i had to uninstall it because after installing the software my computor took 30 minutes to start up after restart. I did try to find out why this was but could not figure it out ...
