I love music, I love movies and as a model I have thousands of pictures all of which I store digitally on my PC well that at least is where I used to store them but I now choose to store them on my shiny new Freecom hard drive. My PC is a good one and it has a 250GB hard drive which I thought would always be plenty for me but I was soon proved wrong and had to get myself an external hard drive and after a few recommendations I settled on the Freecom 320GB tough drive.
My modelling pictures are all taken by professionals and using professional cameras that deliver RAW images which are huge in size (aprox 6MB each) when you consider I have thousands of them, space disappears fast. Add to this the thousands of music I store digitally and the tons of movies and you quickly see why the external hard drive was needed.
As this hard drive stores 320GB of stuff it is good for holding pretty much everything I need leaving my built in hard drive free for programmes and other things I need to download. This hard drive is portable too so I can take it with me if I am away on weekend modelling shoots and simply plug it into my laptop via USB and I have all my files right there in front of me.
Connecting this up to the PC or laptop could not be easier and simply following the instructions and loading the software (not needed with Vista) takes about ten minutes!
It is known as the tough drive because it is fitted with an internal anti-shock frame and a soft silicone cover making it very durable and hard to damage, keeping not only the hard drive safe but also all your precious files.
I will now list its performance stats for those in the know.....
As well as being a tough hard drive with plenty space to store all your stuff it is also a very good looking unit and one I would have no worries recommending to anyone. It cost me a mere £94.99 and it was without doubt worth every penny, I have been using it around 7 months now and never a problem!
Candy.
