Freecom Floppy disk drive 1.44 MB

I originally bought this external floppy drive a few years ago after the standard for laptops was not to have an inbuilt floppy drive already in them however at the time floppy disks were still in use from time to time. It doesn't mean that this can't be used for desktop computers that don't have internal floppy drives.

It would usually be a cable for the power into a power socket in the wall and a separate cable to send and receive data between the device and the computer however with this external floppy drive it has completely changed. Now all that is need with this floppy drive is simply just one USB cable with a mini USB connected to the drive making it quick and easy to use when your on the move as well as easy to fit and store on the move with no extra cabling which could possibly get tangled and cause problems and aggravation.

At only 280g I consider this drive to be very light to carry around with me. The actual dimensions are small and slim making it easy to fit into a pocket or bag as can be seen below:-

When I bought this a few years ago I paid in the area of £35 for it however if you look on the internet for this external floppy drive you will be able to find it been sold for an average price of about £20.

If you're looking for an external floppy drive then I would definitely recommend this one. Simple, easy, small and quick which all anyone could ask for. What else could you want from a product like this? I have found it very useful since I bought it however I have found there is not such a need for them lately since CD's and DVD's are used much more and floppy disks have faded out of the picture more and more.
