ABOUT:
Freederm is a new Hydro-gel which tackles the inflammation of mild to moderate acne. It targets the inflammation in visible spots as well as preventing those that are about to from. The Hydro-gel penetrates the skin and reaches the oil producing gland which is the main cause of acne. The Hydro-gel formula means it doesn't dry out skin like other skin treatments. Acne is a skin condition which effects three-quarters of teens and young adults Acne can present a variety of severities of spots on the skin. Even though some say this is caused by bad diet etc, acne is actually a hormone related condition.
MAIN INGREDIENTS:
this skin treatment is made up mainly from nicotinamide which provides the anti-inflammatory effect. It also contains aluminium, magnesium, silicate, hypromelose, citric acid, polyoxyethylene lauryl ether, ethanol and water. Product warning: Do not use in cases of known sensitivity to any of the ingredients. When using Freederm on the face, take care to keep it away from the eyes and mucous membranes, including those of the nose and mouth. Always read the product information before using this medicine. DIRECTIONS:
Use twice daily as follows: Cleanse the affected area and surrounding skin thoroughly with soap and warm water. pat dry and apply a thin layer of the gel to this area. The gel is designed for treatment of acne on the face, neck, back, shoulders and chest. When using this gel you must remember that acne cannot be cured over night but it can be controlled by a regular cleansing routine.
MY VERDICT:
I suffer from mild acne and it seemed that everything I used never had any effect on my skin. I first saw the advert for Freederm on T.V. and was attracted to the fact that it claimed to reduce redness and didn't only focus on the slow process of "killing" the spots. I bought my 25g tube of Freederm from my local boots for £8.95. On purchasing the lady behind the counter assured me that she had heard many good things about it and it was well worth my money. I use Freederm before bed and when I get up in the morning. I find that unlike other skin treatment gels this can be worn under make-up with out giving your skin strange looking lumps and bumps. Although they do say not to expect any dramatic difference in your skin to start with I saw the effects of Freederm very quickly as within two days of using the gel I saw a reduction in the redness of the areas effected by acne. I have been using this gel for about two months now and my skin is looking fabulous. It has even reduced the visibility of some of the scarring that acne had left me with. And although to begin with I was worried the tiny 25g tube wouldn't last long I have found that as you only put on a thin layer this tube has actually lasted me a fairly long time.

Advantages: effective, smells nice, easy to apply, little goes a long way Disadvantages: not really great applied under foundation as it dries the make up unless you use with moisturiser
