I have been shopping with Freeemans now for almost 5 years and have always
found them and their service to be very good.

For anyone who may not be sure of what Freemans is, it is a Mail Order Catalogue that has been on the go now for many years. They offer a wide variety of products and service via a pay monthly service i.e. you order your goods receive them within 2 days / next day* and pay for them with up to 50 weeks interest free credit.

So what does the catalogue have to offer then? I will list everything low in order as it would appear in the catalogue and I will then highlight the benefits and services they offer.

Woman’s: ~

There is 390 pages of ladies fashions including everything you would expect to see in the high street shops.

They have many branded items from the top designers, however, these are generally more expensive than you would buy on the high street, some of the big names include DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Cat and loads more. They also include a few of their own ranges called The Look and Images, these include some very nice stuff and at very reasonable prices.

There is a massive range of shoes from trainers to sandals and boots to wellies!! Again these include their own names and designer labels and are all reasonably priced.

We even have what they call speciality stores, which is a section for petite ladies and sections for larger ladies and the ranges are very good. I always get my mum something very nice to wear for her Christmas from here and she is always more than happy with what I choose.

Kids: ~

Kids is the next section in the catalogue and covers both boys and girls and ranges from toddler right up to 14 years.

I love baby clothes they are just sooo cute! The range in the catalogue for toddlers to 3 years is small but brilliant some of the outfits I would love to wear myself they are so smart and trendy!

Moving up ages and the clothes start to get even trendier and introducing kids favourite cartoon characters such as the Tweenies, Bob the Builder and Winnie the Pooh! There are even collections from Speciality stores such as Adams.

For the older girls we move into Tammy and see the girls looking ever so much like pop stars with all the fashion ranges that are the craze of today! Fantastic ranges that will make any teenage girl look smart! All at easy affordable prices.

The boys ranges again focus very much on fashion and start at Adams for the younger boys and move onto designer labels such as Kangol and Quicksilver for the teenage lads making them all look just as smart as their female counterparts!

There is a massive collection of shoes, underwear and pyjamas to rummage
through for all ages.

Sport: ~

This section covers all women, kids and men and has a full range of sports goods from shorts, T Shirts, trainers and bags. Most things are branded names such as Adidas, Nike and Umbro. They are reasonable priced although they are a bit more than you would pay in the shop, but to get them delivered right to your door what do you expect eh!

Mens: ~

Now this is the section I use most obviously and I can say form these pages I have bought many an item that has either been a must have or just something that has looked great in the catalogue.

First up we have the casual wear section that includes all the normal stuff you would wear day-to-day just to relax but some of it you would also buy for a night out or a day away. With denim ranged from DKNY, Levi’s and CK.

They focus heavily on sunglasses and have a full 2 page spread on them and have every name under the sun imaginable such as Diesel and Nike.

We then move on to the basic stuff such as work shirts, suits and trousers then into pyjamas and underwear. Next up is the shoes with stocks form Kicker, Detail and Ben Sherman, the prices for the shoes are a bit expensive I have noticed as I have often bought Kickers from here and then noticed them cheaper up town!

Interiors: ~

This is the largest selection in the book and basically covers everything you might possibly need for the house. There are beds, sofas, curtains, pots and pans, crockery and even duvets, the list is huge.

The quality of the stuff will depend on what price range you choose and duvets sets etc are available in all colours imaginable. There are lots of recognisable names such Jeff Banks etc.

This would be great for someone just starting out as some of the prices are very reasonable.

Electrical: ~

This is another favourite section of mines as it is full of gadgets. It has everything electrical you can possibly imagine from mobile phones to irons, kettles to washing machines. You can get very good packages deals on some of the larger items as you can with other items within any section that is of a fairly high price.

Account options: ~

On all orders over £150.00 you can opt for a Diamond Account, which gives the customer flexibility and the option to pay over 2 years. However, with this option you do pay interest with variable rate of 29.9%, there is no need to pay a deposit and this account is easily identified on your monthly statement.

Here are a few examples of diamond Account payments: ~

Order value ~ £150.00
Min Weekly Payment ~ £1.87
Min Monthly Payment ~ £8.12

Order Value ~ £350.00
Min Weekly Payment ~ £4.37
Min Monthly Payment ~ 18.94

Order Value ~ £2000.00
Min Weekly Payment ~ £24.98
Min Monthly Payment ~ £108.25

Add-to Account ~

This is another great way to pay, however, can be paid over 50 weeks and is all interest free, you can also add on any purchases as long as you stay within your available balance and the cost will stay at an affordable budget.

Delivery : ~

Delivery is free and is normally on your doorstep within 48 hours, 6 days a week they do ask that you call before 12pm to ensure this is achieved.

You can also have next day delivery at an extra cost of £2.95 per order. This is if you call before 5pm on Monday to Friday. If you call a Saturday or Sunday you will receive it on a Tuesday, this service is not available on Bank Holidays.

Freemans also offer an Emergency Delivery for items at a cost of £15 per item, you must again call before 12 noon and they can guarantee your items will be with you in 48 hours.

Returns: ~

From time to time you just may need to return goods, however, I have never had to with Freemans. To do this simply call the Answerline and an agent can arrange it free if it is within 14 days of receiving the goods.

Ordering: ~

There are a number of ways to shop with Freemans they are as follows: ~

Telephone which is a free phone number 0800 731 9 731 this is available 24
hours but can be very busy around about Christmas time and I mean very busy.

Recently they have launched the into Internet shopping with a great site at www.freemans.com, however, the site is fairly slow and registering is a long winded process.

Post: ~

Using the stationery provided from Freemans you can do all your ordering by post but that is hardly feasible in the techno jungle we live in today!

Fax: ~

You can also FAX your order through on 0800 731 5 731 again this is free and all you need is an order form your agency number, name, address and telephone number, easy as that!

Minicom Textphone: ~

Again you can call this free on 0800 731 3 731 and place your order 24 hours a day.

If you have any questions there is an Answer Line on 0870 606 6099 and an
agent will always be on hand to answer all your enquiries.

Overall this is a cracking service from Freemans and I will be shopping with them for years to come.

An amazing op! I used to work there on saturdays a few years back - easiest job of my life! Heard things are going a bit pear-sheaped for them now though. Oh well
