I have been an agent with Freemans for about 4 or 5 years now. For anyone that does not know what Freemans is, it is a mail order catalogue.
The latest Freemans catalogue out is the spring/summer 2002.
There are 1075 pages to look through, where I'm sure you would find something that you liked.
WOMENS Here you will find all the latest fashion. These include skirts, Jeans, trousers, shorts, tops, swimwear, underwear and footwear.
KIDS AND BABIES Here you will find clothes for boys and girls. The clothes start from newborn to the age of 16. They also sell underweat and footwear and babies accessories too like cots and prams.
MEN Here you will find trousers, shirts, Jeans, Jackets, underwear and footwear.
SPORTSWEAR Here is all the branded sportswear like Adidas, Diadora, Reebok, Nike and Puma. They sell sportswear for men and women.
HOME This includes everything you could think of for your home like:- Bedding Bathroom Bedroom Window Furnishing Lighting Flooring Furniture Dining Kitchen
They sell many things in this section including toasters, hifi's, vacuums, jewellery, gardening equipment and many more items.
You have to be over 18 before you can be an agent for a catalogue.
You can pay your balance off in full each month or pay so much each month. I usually pay off so much each month depending on how much I have ordered anyway. They used to add interest on to what you buy but lately they do not seem to have done that. Not that I'm complaining about that anyway.
Delivery is free and usually comes within 48 hours if the item is in stock. If the item is not in stock then it usally takes about 1 to 2 weeks to be delivered. If they can not get an item at all they will write to you to let you know. They deliver Monday to saturday.
You can have next day delivery but it will cost you £2.95, no many how many items you order. If you order before 5pm Monday to friday, then your item(S) will be delivered next day. If you order at the weekend you order will be delivered on Tuesday.
You can order from Freemans by:- Post and there address is Freemans PLC PO Box 1761 Sheffield S96 5SF
Telephone - 0800 731 9 731 So it is a freephone
Website - www.freemans.com
Fax - 0800 731 3 731
I usually order on line as it is quick and convenient and easier than sending it off by post.
You can return items free of charge by taking them to your post office or by phoning your courier to come and collect your parcel. I usually take it back to the post office.
You can buy most things that Freemans sell from the high street shop cheaper but it is convenient to shop from a catalogue.
I would definitely recommend shopping with Freemans to get everything that you need.

As you say it is always a question of easy home shopping against lower prices if you search around. They do seem one of the best catalogues though. Well written and well done.

I think I will avoid the catalogues for now -if I had one in the house it would be far too dangerous, even worse than a couple of credit cards in town on a dry windy Sunday afternoon, when believe me I can do some serious damage in a very short space of time - besides my mother has such good standing with the catalogues, that I but a lot through her on buy now, pay never (or at least thats what it seems like), that way when my time is up I know I have to pay the amount in full, and she gets her commission.

Advantages: Good range, good customer service, lots of buy now pay later deals Disadvantages: Prices aren't competitive, stock availability can be an issue
