About the Book
The book tells the tale of how two little girls, named Rachel and Kirsty, help a little fairy called Inky. Inky is one of the seven Rainbow Fairies who had been cast out of Fairyland by the evil goblin, Jack Frost. The first five fairies (Ruby, Amber, Saffron, Fern and Sky) had all ready been rescued and only Inky and Heather were left.
In order to help save Inky the girls are transported to the Land of Sweets. While they are in The land of Sweets the girls meet lots of people including goblins, a ginger bread man and some ice cream makers. In the end.......... don't worry. I'm not going to spoil the ending for you - I'll let you find out what ...
Advantages: Magical and enchanting storyline, good pictures, lovely characters Disadvantages: one in a series, bendy paper back publication
of Sweets. Could Inky the Indigo Fairy be waiting there for them?
This is Hannahs favourite of the rainbow fairies books range, It has everything - sparkle, magic, fairy wings and best of all, SWEETS! She says she would like to go to the sugary palace and eat the fluffy clouds just like in the book. As long as she doesnt eat the book, she can imagine what ever she wishes.
Overall a four star rating, a great storyline, and inspires interest not only with the wonderful pictures, the addition of a new character and also the involvment of many little girls favourite source of nutrition - Sweets!
Highly recommended as a series and the indivdual book itself isnt half bad either. Enjoyable for both child and adult reader.
Thanks for reading, and best wishes, mintz x x x ...
AWFUL. Reservations were made months in advance for double beds and we (about 6 rooms) got kings. Bride-to -be had to sleep on the floor. Breakfasts were comped next AM but the breakfast bar worker had the personality of a lizard and was beyond rude. If you have to be somewhere on time, count on a 22 minute wait for the lift. At the Indigo, filthy linens in huge rolling bins are far more important passengers than their paying guests. Even though we made arrangements months in advance for an after-part at the Indigo bar, we ran late and called the Indigo and were assured all is well come on and have the party here, we arrived to a closed bar. Another after-party group was successful in getting the stubborn and rude barkeep to reopen. Any complaints to the management (Tony) or the bar keeps is perceved as abusive. The truth hurts ...
