Freeview gives you loads of different channels for nothing at all! That's amazing! But is it really worth it? We brought Freeview (without our TV) for about £35 pounds which comes with a little box, stand, a remote control and a lot of wires. We have two TV's, one which now has Sky + HD and one which now has Freeview. Freeview is good if you have some money in your bank account and because of the digital switchover it will be worth it. It gives you all the regulars (BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV, Channel 4 and FIVE) and about 100 other channels.

Features You can do various things with Freeview. Firstly, you can search for an update which will find more channels, you can put subtitles on, Lock/Unlock channels (if you have children) and bookmark some of your favourite channels.
Letdowns If you're planning on this being hooked up to your main TV you might be letdown because there are only 100 Extra channels but for £35 it might be worth it if you don't want to renew what you want again and again, you can't delete channels which would be handy if you don't want your kids seeing adult shows. After a while you would have thought..."Well, it's free but I would have more channels even if I would have had to keep on renewing" But the biggest letdown is that you need a REALLY good airel otherwise you won't be able to view any channels at all (if you're unlucky!) Also, it only covers 74% of the UK.
Overall, it's good for free after the £35 for paying for your box etc but if this is for your main TV it won't be worth it.
