I bought this freezer to replace our rather ageing old one. It would seem that freezer technology has moved on a little in twelve years. Upon arrival and after unpacking, i connected it to the mains, (after cleaning it out first) and switched it on. Now for the shock: In less than two and a half hours, the freezer was at operating temperature. That is fast!! The freezer comes supplied with a storage basket and, wait for it, an ice scraper!!! ...

Advantages: Ideal size for our kitchen but now need to find one of similar size.
Disadvantages: Failed completely in 3 1/2 years, noisy, handle fell off.

...looked after it well. Hotpoint tell us there is nothing we can do. My advice to anyone out there is don't touch this appliance with a barge pole. I'm really annoyed because we paid a lot of money in good faith and expected it to last A LOT LONGER than this. Advantages: good shape, clear large draws
Disadvantages: none as yet

We didnt need a big freezer and as we live in a cottage and space is limited so this model suited us very well. Quite narrow and with large storage draws this freezer maximises space while alowing easy access. The extra cost of the frost free version is well worth it, pretty much trouble free in its running and with an A rating its quite cheap to run. The draws are clear so its easier to see the contents and strong (something suprisingly lacking ...
...a nice touch . We picked the silver external finish but its also available in white which was slightly cheaper. The finish is quite strong and seems to stand a few knocks without any marks at all. As to the performance,well in this day and age all freezers sem to work well with only the consumption rating being an issue and this rates 'A' . Disadvantages: Too small for more than 2 people, energy effieciency B - not A

...great. I looked around for the best price and I found the freezer for between £95-£120. Regarding running the freezer, I havent found a significant change in my electricity bill. Advantages: space, size, and noise level.
Disadvantages: defrosting, thermostat at rear, light dims after a while of usage.

This product is good in most ways but not in others .. read on. Plenty of room inside to store whatever you need. It has a fast freeze compartment at the top, and an ice tray. The only problem i find with this product is its hard to clean, this is obviously because of the size. Me being small i struggle to move it.
