My Freezer is Hot Stuff
Advantages: Reliable Disadvantages: Can't think of any
I bought my Zanussi upright freezer over a year ago and I love it. It has sturdy drawers, which I haven’t managed to break yet. That alone is a first. OK, it’s just plain white instead of sci-fi silver or lurid luminous green, yellow, pink etc. I like white. It goes with anything and I can see when it’s clean. I also like a lot of storage capacity, but don’t have space for a chest freezer. Full marks to the Zanussi again. It’s a great medium sized ... ...is a bit imposing, as are the larger uprights. This model is perfect. It’s amazing how much you can fit into it. OK. To the serious stuff.
GENERAL POINTS
Price- I can’t remember exactly but somewhere between £250 and £300. Not the cheapest on the market granted.
Controls- Fairly straightforward, but need a coin to turn them. I suppose this stops small children altering them. It’s not a major annoyance. Also the settings are marked N and S. N is ...

Reliable freezer
Advantages: Reliable, efficient, it freezes things Disadvantages: None, really
...reliabilty reports in "Which?", and Zanussi comes out pretty much at the top every time. This freezer is also rated "B" for efficiency (and therefore running costs), which is just about as good as you can currently buy.
So, it's going to be cheap to run and last for years - what more do you want? OK, it's a doddle to set up, looks good (in a white sort of way), is reasonably flexible in terms of removing doors, and (at least bought over the Net) ...

My very first freezer - and it's a good one
Advantages: Easy to set up, ideal size, good performance Disadvantages: Short cable
Earlier this year I moved into a new flat, which had other white goods but no freezer. At first I thought it was fine, I could use the ice box in the fridge for things like chips, veggie mince and the odd ice lolly - I've lived without a freezer before and thought I could do it again. Wrong. Having had a freezer for the last two and a half years, my shopping and cooking habits have changed. And the ice box was useless. So I decided to invest in a ... ...limited - there is nowhere in the kitchen, and although I have a small utility area, it has the washing machine in it and needs to be clear to access the bathroom. It occurred to me though that a small tabletop freezer could sit in the middle of this space without getting in the way. I made some measurements, and starting looking online for what I needed. As my parents happened to be visiting soon with their car, I decided that rather than mess about ...

Beko ZA630 Freezer - a good price for a good freeze
Advantages: Cheap, good storage Disadvantages: It does look cheap
Beko ZA630
All in all you get what you pay for with this freezer. For only £150 or so it is a good buy. The three storage departments are quite large and you can fit all of your essentials in the compartments. As yet (after 6 months) I have not found the need to defrost it. I am sure this will come in time.
The storage compartment draw doors are acutally quite robust and unlike other freezer compartment doors, they do actually stay in place ... ...actual freezer itself is quite light and I managed to pick it up and move it myself without too much bother.
This is a good little freezer and I would buy one again if it remained at this type of price - hopefully I can come back in a couple of years and report that it is still going strong! ...

Should be called Coldpoint
Advantages: large capacity, silent running, A rated, relaible temp gauge, even freezing, easy to wipe clean Disadvantages: none really unless you dont have space for one
...I knew I wanted a Hotpoint or Whirlpool, having experienced the very best of customer service previously when needing a repair from these two companies, not to mention the low cost of out of warranty repair by an engineer. Scouting about, I found this model seemed to fit all my requirements, and the price was quite reasonable as well, being under £500. So, a year on, how have I found this? To be quite honest, I am so pleased it is almost ridiculous. ... ...shallow one, made for ice cream, ice cubes (trays included, as well as a drinks cooler board for taking on picnics) and the like, and the bottom most one is deep but has a sort of triangular bottom to accomodate the inner workings of the freezer. The other four drawers are deep and fairly wide as this freezer is roughly the same size of a full sized fridge freezer. The door is reversible, so you can hang it either side, which is very convenient as ...
