Whirlpool AFB Economy Freezer low cost but poorly featured

Advantages: Low cost
Disadvantages: design errors, no temperature guage, no internal light, door jamming, no defrost function

I purchased this freezer around three months ago from Currys during the sale attracted by the low cost of £159 however whilst the delivery and service from Currys was excellent the product has some small issues to be considered. Note Currys have a very transparent pick up of your old freezer that works very well. ...are not securely fixed into the recesses in the freezer walls (they slide in and are restrained by the rear pipe structure) and as a result slightly shift during use and cause drawer jams. The freeing of the drawers means removing all the drawers then reinstalling carefully - then its OK for a while. Beware Substandard Items

Advantages: Good Size
Disadvantages: Poor Quality Control

We bought this freezer for Iceland and thought it was a bargain. When delivered, the lid was misaligned and the seals were ineffective. This was not caued by the delivery men and looking at the protective packing, was not damaged during the delivery from the manufactrurer. After a coulpe of calls, we had the replacement delivered three days later and it looked OK. When opened up there were missing parts, a basket an paperwork, so we took the ones ...
...noticed that the freezer interior was icing up in one corner at the tpo near the seal. Further inspection showed that the lid was not sealing correctly in that corner. My very first freezer - and it's a good one

Beko ZA630 Freezer - a good price for a good freeze

Advantages: Cheap, good storage
Disadvantages: It does look cheap

Beko ZA630 All in all you get what you pay for with this freezer. For only £150 or so it is a good buy. The three storage departments are quite large and you can fit all of your essentials in the compartments. As yet (after 6 months) I have not found the need to defrost it. Should be called Coldpoint

Advantages: large capacity, silent running, A rated, relaible temp gauge, even freezing, easy to wipe clean
Disadvantages: none really unless you dont have space for one
