I have just moved house, and one of the concerns I had about appliances was that the fancy built in fridge in the kitchen had no freezer compartment. Although I tended not to freeze a great deal, there was the call for a freezer because there are items in the weekly shop that require freezing. Good quality, large capacity and stylish design

Advantages: Large size, stylish, choice of settings, energy efficient
Disadvantages: Not self-defrosting

I bought this energy efficient upright double freezer for £385 a year ago and it has always worked perfectly. It has a brushed stainless steel front and so looks good in a modern style of kitchen. The freezer has six pull-out drawers, one of which is larger than the others. It is large and you can fit a lot of food in it. There is a dial enabling you to change the temperature. Although I have not had to fully defrost the freezer since buying it a year ago, I recently had to use the ice scraper that comes with it to remove a build-up of ice which was preventing the door from closing properly. Advantages: Large capacity
Disadvantages: locking system

I have owned this freezer for a little over a year with many, many problems, but only with the locking feature, I am actually on my third freezer as they had to keep changing it, lock still doesnt work on the current one, but I was compensated by shop I bought it from and it was easier than defrosting yet another freezer. Freezer wise the appliance is reliable and large enough for my family. The locks worked only twice before they seemed to mis-align ...

Beko ZA630 Freezer - a good price for a good freeze

Advantages: Cheap, good storage
Disadvantages: It does look cheap

Beko ZA630 All in all you get what you pay for with this freezer. For only £150 or so it is a good buy. The three storage departments are quite large and you can fit all of your essentials in the compartments. As yet (after 6 months) I have not found the need to defrost it. I am sure this will come in time. The storage compartment draw doors are acutally quite robust and unlike other freezer compartment doors, they do actually stay in place ...
...actual freezer itself is quite light and I managed to pick it up and move it myself without too much bother. This is a good little freezer and I would buy one again if it remained at this type of price - hopefully I can come back in a couple of years and report that it is still going strong! ...

Should be called Coldpoint

Advantages: large capacity, silent running, A rated, relaible temp gauge, even freezing, easy to wipe clean
Disadvantages: none really unless you dont have space for one
