Liebherr CTNES4653-20 - real kitchen style
Review of Liebherr CTNES4653-20A by eastchristina

Advantages: Excellent value for money, a real stainless steel FF
Disadvantages: Drainage hole sometimes gets blocked

...item - like all the Liebherr silver coloured things I have ever encountered it is real stainless steel. At a fraction of the normal price. I have had this machine for about 3 years now, and it has responded well to ordinary household use - which means not being defrosted regularly, being stuffed full of food, and generally suffering from benign neglect. I have had no problems except that the drainage hole at the bottom of the fridge (above the vegetable ...
...it clears it promptly. People who take more care of their fridge would be less likely to have this problem. If you have a particularly beautiful kitchen which you keep immaculate, buy some baby oil when you buy this item. It's a lot cheaper than stainless steel cleaner, and just as effective when rubbed well in. When I tried to adjust the level of the feet, I cut my finger on a sharp bit of stainless steel at the rear. Be aware of this possibility ... Read review

Beko Fridge Freezer
Review of Beko CDA660 by Ashwick

Advantages: Really good size and looks stylish
Disadvantages: Wine rack can be a bit awkward to organise around

...select few mostly in the Beko range, one of which was the Beko CDA660FS. This fridge freezer was one of the largest capacities I could find of its type and at a really reasonable price (I paid £360 + £20 delivery at Dixons online). There are others in the Beko range which are larger (CDA751FS) but the external dimensions were just too big for my kitchen (and extra 10cm wide!) We have had this fridge a few months now and are really pleased with the ...
...plenty of room for the weekly shop and the wine rack is really handy too. The freezer draws are nice and big, enabling you to fit lots in if like me you like to cook big batches of stuff and freeze them for days when you don't have the time to cook. And the ice tray is really handy too. The fridge section has 3 full width commodity racks in the door, one with egg tray. Two large salad crispers with glass cover and there are 3 adjustable shelves ... Read review

When it works, good
Review of Beko AP 930 X by SunnyBrighton

Advantages: Looks good, plenty of features
Disadvantages: Broke after 6 monthe and Beko still haven't sent repair engineer ...

...showing normal temperatures! Beko are the most useless company when it comes to organising servicing. I have been without a fridge/freezer for over a week now, and the appointment date is for 3 weeks away. The guarantee, which I filled in and sent off on time, seems to have no relevance to the company, and Beko had no interest in the details. I will NEVER buy Beko appliances, ever again. Summary: if it works this is a great fridge/freezer, but when ... Read review

Nice fridge that really looks the part
Review of John Lewis JLSS1808 by doakdom

Advantages: good lights inside fridge, useful digital display on top of fridge
Disadvantages: none

There are a few things that make this fridge great. Firstly it has two internal lights in the fridge half, one at the top (like a normal fridge) and one shining into the fruit and veg drawer. This is really handy and makes the inside easy to see. It has a display on the top which can have various different bits of information I use the 'outside temperature' setting so it tells you the temperature of your kitchen. . . which is nice. The fruit and ... Read review

Quirky, but Very Pretty, Baumatic
Review of Baumatic Frost-Free Fridge Freezer BF272SL by oscarn

Advantages: Stylish; Compact
Disadvantages: Noisy Compressor; Cramped Freezer Drawers

...and I stumbled across this Baumatic completely by accident whilst browsing the 'net. However, I noticed it had a very attractive price (we paid £260) and looked smart in the photos, but I was still filled with trepidation when the delivery day arrived as we had not seen it 'in the flesh'. Firstly, I must say that this is a very stylish F/Freezer (as far as these things go!) and everyone who has seen it has commented on it. The silver finish is attractive ...
...very sleek indeed. The Baumatic name is depicted in 50's style silver relief on the fridge door, giving it a funky retro look. IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE: * The doors are not reversible. They are hinged on the right-hand side and thus pull from the left - this could be an issue for some. Also, the hinge system itself, whilst feeling very sturdy, protrudes up above the flat top of the machine by a few centimetres, so the machine may not slide back ... Read review
