Advantages: when working it's great Disadvantages: Fridge has broken down after a year!
...stopped cooling! We called whirlpool and luckily we had an extended warranty but it took whirlpool a week from when we phoned to send out the engineer who then said the central board has stopped working. Which for a fridge that is just a year old is shocking!
Anyway the control board will now take another 10 days to arrive it's a good thing we kept our old smaller fridge which we have no choice but to keep using.
I am very disappointed that after ... ...and after spending about £400 you dont expect it to play up so soon. When it was working fine the fridge was perfect, lots of space and drawers, looks good and easy to clean. maybe if you are thinking of buying this fridge my expereinces could be just a one off and you might not have these problems but it's better to know right? ...

Neff K3990 American Style Fridge Freezer
One of my abiding memories of watching American TV in the seventies and eighties was when the Mom (sic) would go into the kitchen and open this gi-normous fridge, packed to gills with all manner of loveliness. In those far off days fridges of that scale were nought but a dream for us under privileged limeys and we could merely stare in wonder and accept that only a country that could put a man on the moon ... ...told that Siemens, Bosch and Neff appliances are all made by the same people in the same factories so any of those would be suitable. I've no way of verifying this although having replaced a Bosch dishwasher with a Neff one I can confirm that they are almost identical and share most visible parts.
With this advice we settled on the Neff K3990, as suggested by our kitchen supplier in the first place. They also price matched the best price I could ...
