...this model of fridge/freezer. Indesit won't admit it to me, but I have found reviews all over the net, describing exactly the same symptoms. When it fails you hear a loud whining sound. I was told by the visiting engineer, that the Fridge compartment gets it's cold air from the Freezer compartment and the whining sound is caused by a fan which gets iced up and starts to complain as it labours. I have owned this fridge/freezer for a few years now and it still looks like new. Mine is a dark greenone, and when it came I was surprised to see how big it was, so I call it my Jolly Green Giant!!! Plently of space for everything and I won't be changing it unless it breaks! Very reasonable and good value for money. I bought my Beko CA5410W fridge freezer about 20 months ago from comet, and have to say that im appalled by the lack of longevity with this machine, the compressor has broken down, needing a new one to replace which the repair man said would cost £150, avoid this manufacturer unless you have money to waste.
