highly recommended hotpoint RL175 fridge
Review of Hotpoint RL175 by beckypoo

Advantages: Matches my other appliances, hugh fridge capacity.
Disadvantages: door handle plastic and brakes easy.

I bought my hotpoint fridge in dec 07 as my other hotpoint decided to turn itself from a fridge into a freezer, so far it's excellent. can't belive how much it holds. It has 4 removable and easy to clean toughened glass shelves, bottle rack which can hold 5 bottles (excellent for my wine stash), easy to use temperature control dial at the front, a hugh fruit and vegetable drawer at the bottom with a separate meat compartment to store the meat in ...
...shelves in the door which 3 are removable so you can change the position of them, 1 with a lidded tray so you can store eggs which is removable and 1 at the bottom to store more bottles eg milk and big bottles. It has an automatic defrosting function. Overall so far i have had to replace the door handle which is plastic, due to the fact that my kids have trouble in opening it as it has an excellent suction around the door, still under warranty so ... HOTPOINT RL150
Review of Hotpoint RL150 by littlemissvicki

Advantages: Stylish, Good Price, Lots of room
Disadvantages: Door does always shut, when slammed

I always wanted a stand alone fridge, especially when I was expecting my second kid, due the space I needed for bottles and as I was now a stay at home mum I bought all fresh foods to cook with and my fridge freezer just didn't have the room. I looked long and hard to fine this product, it is stylish, excellent price and lots of room. I especially like the salad compartment, this is very large compared to others I looked at. This fridge has one less ...
...is very deep you don't need an extra shelve. I usually buy two - three weeks worth of shopping at once, so at the beginning of the month my fridge is completely full and I manage to get everything in, even all my fresh meat that I haven't had time to seperate and freeze. The one down fall is the door, you need to make the feet at the front of the fridge taller than the back otherwise the door will not shut when to push it and walk away it will slam ... Read review

Top points!
Review of Hotpoint RLA34 by penfolddolohov

Advantages: Easy to use, effective
Disadvantages: legs damage the floor

...lot of positive things about Hotpoint and when we were given a freezer last year we needed an accompanying fridge. The freezer was also made by Hotpoint and seemed to work very well. We looked around but liked the look of the Hotpoint RLA34 fridge in Argos, so purchased it. Many Hotpoint appliances look easy to use and sales assistants seem quite positive about the products. We felt that the fridge looked a lot better than its competitors. Hotpoint ...
...famous brand based in Italy). Hotpoint are best known for their washing machines. APPEARANCE ***************** The fridge is less than a metre in height (about 0.85m) so fits nicely under a work top. It is about 60cm wide and cm deep. It does not stick out too much which is very useful for small kitchens. It would suit someone living in a small home e.g. studio flat/bed-sit. The Hotpoint RLA34 fridge is available in white or graphite; we have ... Read review

RL175 Fridge - don't bother
Review of Hotpoint RLA 175 by DavinderY

Advantages: Door fixed so it doesn't swing
Disadvantages: Door shelves too shallow; shelves too few and too narrow

We were given this as a replacement for the RL80 - it is no where near as good -it's going back The long shelves in the door are less deep than the RL80 model and so you cannot stand a large milk container with the handle out; nor can you store margerine or butter tubs right way up - only fit if lying on their side! Their is big capacity, BUT the shelf system is limited to only 4 (previously 7) variations and so you cannot put extra shelves in even ... Read review
