i chose a fp endowment to repay my house. the premium was amongst the lowest and the historic returns are amongs the best. a £27,000 endowment is currently maturing at over £97,000 for a male age 30 next birthday. the contract has low charges and includes life cover to repay my house and death. it also includes critical illness that will repay my loan upon diagnosis of certain medical conditions , such as cancer, heart attack etc. if i am off sick my premiums are paid for me after 6 months till i recover. i used a projected growth rate of 6% which means if it grows by 6% then my house will be paid off however, if it grows by more than that i will get a tax free lump sum. it should be easy to get 6%, all you have to do is invest in a deposit account. if the contract is underperforming then i will be informed and advised of my options at that stage. i selected to invest in a with profits fund as the value of investments cannot fall and i anticipate receiving a large terminalbonus at maturity. my borker was excellent and explained everything, both good and bad. the literature was clear and easy to understand and it only took a week before my policy documents were sent. friends provident have consistantly been in the top 10 companies for endowments
