McCain Micro Chips
Advantages: Convenient and kids love em! Disadvantages: Dry and bland tasting
...freezer section he noticed some McCain Micro Chips in the freezer and asked if he could have some as his best friend liked them! I'm not a fan of frozen chips as a whole but to keep him happy I threw a packet in the trolley. Each packet of Micro Chips is a small, black, rectangular cardboard box. The box has a perforated front which you rip open before you microwave them. When I opened the front up the chips looked quite cheap in appearence. The ... ...With a trusted brand like McCain I did expect better results than I got. These are certainly not cheap either for what you get so I will be very reluctant in buying these again and may leave my son at home next time I go food shopping so I am not conned into buying more products like these. I have always believed that you cannot beat home cooked chips and these have underlined this. A firm favourite of kids, but i'd be surprised if any adults find ...

Fries that taste almost as good as Mcdonalds
Advantages: Taste great, cook quickly, nice packaging Disadvantages: None except you have to be careful lifting them out of the micro
PACKAGING These come in packs of two and packs of three, they come in bright red plastic covering. Each packet inside it is colored bright red with yellow, blue black and white colors also. The design of these is quite fun and definitely attractive. I think many people probably first buy them because of how they are presented. They remind me of McDonalds fries in taste and appearance. On the cover you will see the words Fries to Go wrote in big fancy ... ...like its shining onto the writing. Below that you will see written, Suprisingly crispy and a messege saying keep frozen and the best before date. On the back you will see the various different times required for microwaving and all of the instructions. MICROWAVING TIMES 650W you microwave them 3 minutes 15 secs. 750W you microwave them 2 minutes 45 secs. 850W 2 mins 15 secs. DO 1. Cook from frozen 2. Check each individual pocket holds a a chip in ...

Parsnips the way Aunt Bessie used to make them!
Advantages: quick and easy, tasty Disadvantages: expensive, very bad for you
Good old Aunt Bessie, she don't half make good food!!!
My other half bought these last week for a change, I love parsnips but have never bought frozen ones before, prefering to use fresh ones.
She got these Honey Glazed roast parsnips from Tesco, £1.89 for 750g, quite expensive considering how cheap fresh ones are!!!
750g sounds a lot but each parsnip is heavy so you only get enough for 2 meals for 2 people. The parsnips in the packet range in ... ...The packet, like all Aunt Bessie packs, is a lovely Blue with the picture of the food on the front on a plate.
The packet says the parsnips take 30mins at 220 degC and they need turning a few times throughout.
However, as some of the parsnips are hughe, I left them in for 40mins to make sure they were properly cooked - some may need breaking open half way through to make sure they heat up!!!
When cooked, the parsnips smell delicious, the honey ...
