Advantages: Great hold, great smell, no matted look Disadvantages: Expensive, not the best value for money
...difference. At this point the FUDGE had held for 24 hours! The day carried on and included raft building and helmet wearing, which are never good for hair styles. However the FUDGE held its ground and only gave up the ghost when I showered at 7pm that night! Seriously the stuff must have held for about 35 hours in total ! ! !
The biggest drawback however is the price. At around 8 quid on the internet and around 10 quid in the shops ... ...a couple of months if you don’t go crazy with it.
All in all this quite simply is the best, and if you've got the cash spare then spend that little bit extra and have you hair worries sorted. After searching for many years for a hair gel that does everything I'd almost given up. Until I was recommended to try FUDGE, I was unsure at first and was put off straight away by the price. However a few weeks later I found myself in a shop which sold the hair gum with a spare tenner in my wallet; so i thought why not?
I'm so glad I did. This stuff is like 'yoo-hoo' it really does make your style hold without using huge amounts or making it so matted you appear as though you’ve just got out of the bath. You need to apply it quickly because it sets almost on contact and you only have a few minutes with which to style. However I found using a combination of this and a weaker styling putty or cream works well to counter this and give you extra type to arrange and make things perfect. An extra little soothing is the smell it has, which might sound like a drawback for a men’s styling product, but its really not, the ladies especially love it I've found.
A good example of its holding power was when I took a trip to Wales for a stay in a hotel during a team building weekend. I spent lots of time on the Friday morning making my hair look great after my shower using my beloved FUDGE. But in all the packing confussion I forgot to pack it once I'd used it. So I finally got to Wales and went out for a few drinks that night; my hair still looking as I'd arranged it taht morning. After so many drinks I got back to my room and decided to just crash rather than washing the gel out of my hair as I would usually do. I got up the next morning and found my hair was basically as I'd gone to bed with it! hardly a hair out of place! So I figured I'd unpack my bags and do my hair; then I realised to my horror what I'd left behind. About to panic I looked into teh mirror and foudn myself wondering "do i really need to do much to this?" So using a little water from teh sink and some styling cream I had rembered I rearranged the slept on area and could hardly tell a difference. At this point the FUDGE had held for 24 hours! The day carried on and included raft building and helmet wearing, which are never good for hair styles. However the FUDGE held its ground and only gave up the ghost when I showered at 7pm that night! Advantages: Keeps hair in place without being sticky. Disadvantages: N/A Disadvantages: N/A
In the society we live in today, it's socially acceptable for a man to be vein. Right? Well, whatever your answer to that question is, I'm not really that interested. I am vein. Not over-the-top ridiculously vein but I try to take pride in my appearance and look as presentable as possible.
The main thing, apart from the obvious (clothes), for me anyway, is hair. I like my hair to look a particular way and often find myself fiddling with it whenever I'm in the bathroom and catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I've tried endless amounts of hair products over the years with varying degrees of success. One of the best I've found is Fudge Fat Hed (which I will review in good time) but although great, is very expensive. Garnier's Surf Hair Gum is a very very close second.
Coming in the distinctive Garnier green and yellow tub, this is ...

FUDGE
-------
Fudge hair products is a range or fairly expensive bubble gum smelling hair products.
I say fairly expensive, prices seem to start from around £7. This is the first Fudge product I've ever tried, mainly because of the price. For over a year I've been on a quest, a quest to find the perfect straightening balm. I've tried everything from Shockwaves to Charles Worthington. My hair is naturally curly, and although I use straighteners, my hair stays straighter for longer when I use a straightening balm. All the products in the Fudge range come in stylish orange and black tubes. This particular product, Fudge Erekt, comes in a 125ml tube. Fudge products are not tested on animals.
PRICE

I paid £8.99 for 125ml of Erekt in my local hair dresser. Fudge is quite hard to find, as it is only sold in salons ...

Advantages: Shapes hair and smells great Disadvantages: Bit expensive and difficult to find
I'm dedicating this review to carlypussycat, another reviewer here on ciao, who writes great beauty reviews!
Since purchasing Fudge Shaper from Slapiton.tv. (excellent customer service by the way) it has become one of my most used and favourite products. I am a bit of a flibertygibert when it comes to beauty stuff...buying brand after brand of stuff then discarding the poor flicked off product, to be later palmed off to my unsuspecting sister or mother! Anyway the fact that my Shaper is still being used warrants me recommending it to you.
Fudge is an Australian brand and this product, Shaper, is rated as firm hold factor 2 (Creative Hair Gum 1 being the strongest). I read all about their products before deciding this seemed to be their most popular and the one most suited for my hair.
