Durign the summer I was given a Fujifilm DX7 as a present, after the original owner got a new digital camera. I have to say that the camera works very well. One of the things I like most is the easy of use, just turn the knob to whichever function you require. For example, some features include:

- Normal Mode (stores shots isntantly into the memory)
- Preview Mode (lets you preview the shot before saving it)
- Macro Mode (suitanble for close-up shots, blurry otherwise)

There's also a 10 second timer, which come in very useful for group photographs that you need to be in! The camera feels good to hold, the ergonomics have been considered by Fujifilm when designing it. It also has a good weight and carrying strap.

The built-in LCD monitor lets you look at what you're about to snap, and you can delete selected photos if you wish. And there are also features for adjusting brightness, contrast, strenght of flash etc... It's certianly feature packed to say the least.

What I like best is the fact that, although you can't get LIVE output when you plug it int oyour TV, you can record the photos taken as a slide show. This means that you coudl easily stick a video tape in the VCR, connect it up (which come with all the right cables) and create a slide show of your holiday! (this is exactly what I did, believe me it looks marvelous).

Obviously the advantage of fettign a digital camera like this, is that you jsut connect it up to your PC (TWAIN support is catered for) and isntantly transfer to photos using software supplied with the camera. You can then edit them to your heart's content. It comes with a 2MB card which can hold around 20 photos. The quality is good (resolution 640x480), see the picture in my profile for an example of a photo taken with the Fujifilm DX7.

Highly recommended and affordable, but for higher quality choose one with 800x600 resolution.
