5 Stars Finest Fuji Finepix A350 Review with images 10/01/2006

Advantages Advantages Quality, Size, Design, Look, Price, Brand

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None as yet

Up until the beginning of December 2005 I had been using a Fuji 2300 digital camera but unfortunately it became faulty and was beyond economical repair so I had to buy a new camera. **What I was looking for? ** I had a budget of £200 to buy a half decent camera that would provide me with excellent quality pictures. Now it had to be easy to use, light weight and of course it had to be manufactured by the one and only Fuji. I wanted a camera that had a high pixel than 4 million as after reading many reviews that seems to be where the quality is better. Now the search began. *Choosing the camera ... more

Advantages Advantages Extremely easy to use, excellent colour, decent lens, pleasing battery life, cheap to buy

Disadvantages Disadvantages Few features, struggles in dim light, irritating zoom control

Introduction Not so long ago I reviewed the Fujifilm FinePix A400, and was not all that impressed. However, the sharp eyed amongst you may have noticed that on one or two occasions elsewhere I have praised this camera, the A350. It may surprise you that two quite similar cameras could get such differing assessments, and in truth it surprised me when I tested the A400 to find how (relatively) poor it was. If you're in the market for a basic camera that produces nice snaps and is very easy to use, then the A350 is probably the preferable choice. This is a five-megapixel camera, in resolution ... more

Advantages Advantages Great colour reproduction, affordable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not for the more advanced photographers

-----| Reason for purchase |----- I decided to buy this camera after reading a very positive review on another website, I then proceeded to buy it at just under £160 including a 512MB xD card, which at the time (over 2 years ago) was a brilliant price. I like photography but hadn’t really tried to take it up as a hobby before so I thought that a point and shoot camera would be the ideal start point. -----| Packaging and included accessories |----- This camera comes with a USB cable which I think is USB 1.0 so it isn’t brilliantly fast at transferring pictures at full settings, but still not an ... more

Advantages Advantages Fairly small/compact, cheap, good picture quality, rechargable batteries last a good while

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bigger memory card needed (but easily available), occasional temper

To be honest, this camera is my first and although not my choice it has proven to be very handy. The camera itself is of average size and weight. The A350 includes all the basic functions - flash, zoom, you are able to change the pixel quality (and it displays how many photo's your memory card can further hold), self timer and different shooting modes e.g.night, sport, landscape. The camera also allows you to record videos - the length depends on the size of the memory card, which is fairly cheap to buy. However the one that comes with the camera doesn't really prove very useful but at least ... more

    Advantages Advantages Good Starter Cam

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Flimsy Build Quality

In my opinion Fuji has been leader in bringing out the latest technology but this one does dissappoint. First of all the camera isn't that solid and easily scratches, there have even been instances where the camera has managed to scratch itself whilst being in the case! The quality however isn't that bad but isn't that good either it easily picks out a lot blur so there isn't much chance of a distorted picture, but an A4 printout did reveal a somewhat pixelated image and a slight colour differential. The camera is a handy size and it has all the effects you'd expect a digital camera to have ... more
