Image quality is generally very good but the auto-focus is rather average with this camera. The auto-focus is centred so as long your subject is not off centre you're not likely to get an out of focus shot. There's always the option of first focusing on the subject in the centre by depressing the shutter half way and then moving the camera and taking the shot. Focusing can be a problem in low light conditions, ... ...I was lucky to get the right focus. Colour reproduction is really good, can't fault it on that. In good light you'll get sharp images with nice contrast and saturation. I used this camera a lot for taking photos of bands at gigs and was very impressed with the results. Advantages: easy to use Disadvantages: not the best pictures
I have owned the camera for about a year now, it take nice clear pictures with its 8 megapixels and it 3 x zoom, the only problem i find with the camera is that the battery doesn't last very long, so you have to keep changing them. It also doesn't take the best pictures indoors, Due to light, you would have to open window and mae sure the light are on inside.
The camera isn't to expensive you can buy them now from under 100 pounds.

...I was looking for a bargain digital camera, and I certainly found that Fujifilm's Finepix A800 is worth every penny.
The camera is fairly small, easy to use and is full of functions. The screen is an impressive 2.5 inches, and while there's no viewfinder, the colour quality of the screen even in bright conditions is better than that of your average camera so you won't have problems taking photos. For hardcore photographers, the image quality isn't perfect by any means, but to the average user like me, the quality seems brilliant. The video function creates fluid, decent quality footage and the sound quality is sufficient. The video format is fairly bulky (a 41 second video was 23MB), but it's definitely a feature you'll find yourself using if you have a big memory card and/or a laptop on your trip (if you're on one).
