I have recently bought a Fujifilm Finepix A920 and It is quiet better than I expected. It takes good scenery photos even at night but you mustn't move it while you're taking a photo of a scenery at night. In other modes it usually gives excellent results. Especially when Flash is enabled you can take very clear photos and I tested capturing while vibrating it and thrown items. It gives perfect results if you select the right mode. If you had a chance to watch as while we were testing it, you would think we were complete freaks :)
Some people might say it makes some strange noises whlie zooming in and zooming out because the lens goes front and back. Personally, I don't think it is an annoying thing and it is not something to worry about because there is some mechanical movement there.
Many shops will give you a memory card for free, or with a great discount when you buy a camera like that. Never miss that chance because If you are planning to take good quality photos, or videos you will need storage, big storage :)
The optical zoom is working very well. Additionally you can use the macro capturing mode to capture small items and they will look very clear but personally I think macro mode could be better. The focusing technology of that camera is also good. If you use it as it is mentioned in the users manual, you will get great results in your photographs.
There are some disadvantages of that product too. I bought some rechargeble batteries for it but they were nothing when I tried to test the capturing modes and I wish it gave more performance in night scenery photos while being used by hand.
If you are planning to use that product often, you need Ni-MH rechargable batteries and 2500mAh minimum. Additionally, if you buy a digital clever battery charger such as Ataba AT 998 you can get max out of any rechargable battery. I will review ATABA AT 998 chargers in near future.
One last thing, if you are not a professional photographer, I don't think you should pay more. This one has the best price/performance rating as I have seen.

Advantages: Xceptional value, clear, sharp images, easy to learn, loads to discover. Disadvantages: You may feel a little patronised, but the presets aren't crucial to its use.
