Manufacturer's product description
Dynamic range for digital cameras means the expression domain between the brightest and darkest areas. Fujifilm now takes you beyond ultra sensitivity and extends dynamic range for photos with more detail in both shadow and highlights. FinePix Wide Dynamic Range gives you the ability to explore extreme scenes and capture all the nuances of brightness and tonality. Skies and seas are expressed with a palette of vivid blues. Previously unseen details in the shadows emerge. It's time to get real with the FinePix F100fd.

...FujifilmFinePix S7000 digital camera review : Fujifilm introduced the FinePix S7000 at the end of July 2003 and the camera received a warm welcome from the (readers) public. Its previous model, the FinePix S602, still is a popular model, although it is not found in the present assortment of Fujifilm anymore. The consumer fell for this digital camera that has the features of a digital reflex camera integrated in a compact and light design. The nice 6x optical zoom range and the various settings made the FinePix S602 a straight hit. This status made it difficult for Fujifilm to continue with this success. Six months ago Fujifilm was ready to introduce the FinePix S7000. With the introduction of the 4th generation CCD sensors in January 2003 we already presumed this new innovation would appear in the next models. The FujifilmFinePix S7000...

Advantages: Face Detection, Large LCD, Easy to acheive professional quality Disadvantages: Heavy
...Having replaced my Fuji S5500 with the FujifilmFinePix S6500fd, I was a little taken aback at the controls and the size of the owners manual.
The quality of the photos are totally outstanding and it has 10mb of internal memory, nice touch. but no supplied XD card, I guess a trade off has to be made somewhere.
The large LCD screen makes taking pics easier and coupled with the automatic face detection it helps to ensure that the faces are by and large in focus.
There is a large range of presets and there is the manual mode where the user can, if they know what to do, can achieve professional quality images with ease. Some may not like using the manual zoom, some will love it. I am in love with te entire package.
The menus are well laid out and easily accessible.
Overall I am extremely happy with the camera and I am still learning...

Advantages: Nice seek style camera with easy share Disadvantages: more options of modes
...The Fuji finepix I will say is a good camera and for the money you spend it’s not bad at all. The camera it self is easy to use and master. Small disadvantage is that you only get a small 8 or 16 meg XD card witch is a bit poor but easly upgradable I wouldent let that put you off.
Disadvantages I will say is that sometimes pictures will come out blured and for the same money I would properly go for the kadak camera with is a little behinde in the tech side but options on that plus you don’t get blurred or blurred as the fuji camera.
Pending on choice if you want top tech then I will say go for the fuji but bare in mind its like the minimum spec. but if just after good pictures then go kodak...

==SPEC==
IMAGE QUALITY: It does have good points however. 7.2 Megapixels isn't bad for the price. The Optical Zoom is a slightly below-average 3x, with a respectable 4.8 Digital Zoom. Most features, however, are only standard - nothing unusual. This... more

When i opened the box for my Fuji S5800 camera about a month ago, I knew that I had made a good choice for my second camera. I still have my Pentax Optio S7 but I wanted a camera that would allow me much more creativity with my photos.
