Who Are Fuji film & what do they sell? Fuji Film (Fuji) are a well known company for making cameras. They were founded in 1934, with the mission of undertaking the production of photographic film in Japan. FujiFilm UK is dedicated to exploring the furthers reaches of technology & continuing towards a dynamic imaging & information future.
Fuji are especially well known for their cameras but also sell memory cards, inkjet paper, audio & videotapes, cd’s, DVD’s & computer media & more.
The Fuji F30 won award for best digital camera of the year 2006.
What does this camera come with? When you buy this camera it comes in a box with an owners manual, hand strap for the camera, safety instructions booklet, A Lithium-ion large capacity rechargeable battery, USB cables when connecting the camera up to your pc, AC Power adapter for charging the battery, A/V cable including plug to pin plug x 2 & a cd-rom software disc for your computer. The camera comes with a very small internal memory which will only hold about 4-5 pictures so you will need to buy a picture card to go into your camera. It also comes with a 2.5inch screen on the back of the camera to view photo’s you have taken.
Features of the camera This camera comes in silver and is very light to hold in your hand. Its not too chunky either and you can hold it comfortably in your hand.
There are various different shooting modes such as:
Auto for crisp clear shots
Natural light which retains the natural ambience when shots are taken in low light conditions
Natural Portrait to get beautiful skin tones and a soft overall tone
Landscape for shooting scenery in daylight
Sport which can be used to take pictures of a moving subject
Night which is great for shooting evening & night scenes (picture is taken with a slow shutter speed of up to 3 seconds)
Fireworks is effective for taking more vivid shots with a slow shutter
Sunset makes the colours more vivid, snow is used to prevent darkening images and provide crisp, clear shots.

Where can you get this camera from? I purchased mine from jessops, along with a picture card & insurance for 3yrs which came to just over £200. Jessops no longer sell this camera, but it is available on www.dixons.co.uk for £138.73, which is the cheapest place I found it. Its also available at curry’s for £149.89. Memory cards depending how many photo’s you take start from about £35.00 each, but these hold over 100 pictures. They will talk you through the different features of the camera as they sell this item to you, ask them questions if your unsure about anything, I asked them loads!! This camera is available from Argos was £199.99 but now £149.99.
How easy is the camera to use? Like any technology it takes a while to get used to all the settings and different buttons on the camera. The mode dial on the top of the camera makes it easier to select things rather than having to go into menus all the time to try and find the settings/options you want when taking a picture. It just works like a normal camera. You simply press half way down on the shutter button which gets the camera into focus then press down all the way to take the picture. It does come with sound but you can turn the sound off. There is also a longer button on the back, when you press it on the right it zooms in and when you press it on the left side the camera zooms out.
Quality of the pictures? I’, always taking my camera out with me on night’s out but my previous digital camera didn’t capture the night settings in clubs, etc. I took lots of picture in the club and quality of the pictures were clear, not at all blurry or fuzzy and the different coloured lights in the club were captured. When taking pictures in normal day-light pictures again were crisp and clear. When zooming in on most camera’s the quality of the picture deteriorates but I found this doesn’t really happen with this camera, quality remains the same.
Overall opinion? I thought this camera was great and not to chunky or big. It’s also light-weight and not too heavy to hold. The mode dial on top made it easier to select things as I didn’t have to go into different menu’s on the camera all the time. I would recommend this camera, and I would strongly recommend to take insurance with it and also invest in a camera case to keep the camera scratch free. I got a leather camera case from Jessops for £19.99.

After 7 months of hard work my Fuji F30 has proven itself to me.
The pictures' quality is simply amazing.
Many people not familiar with the F30, would say "it's just 6 Megapixels!".
Megapixels now days is a very misleading performance metric. My opinion is that for everyday use, up to 3MP is sufficient. Thus most of the time I have my F30 set to take 3MP sized photos.
There are so many cheaply made unbranded (and not only) digital cameras in ... ...Taking an oversized 8+MP picture, doesn't always mean that its clarity will be any superior than a picture taken at a lower resolution.
The F30 is a live proof of this theory. At 6MP, F30 manages to outperform all the digital cameras in its range, many digital cameras of the 8-10MP range, and even compete very well with bigger digital SLR-like models.

The Fujifilm Finepix is a 6.3 megapixel point-and-shoot digital camera which claims to have higher light sensitivities than most similar camera giving it higher shutter speeds which reduces the chances of getting blurry pictures, which can be caused by a fidgety subject or a shaky hand for example. The camera claims to offer shutter speeds that had previously reserved for professional photographic equipment thus allowing the humble consumer to achieve ... ...am really impressed with the Fujifilm Finepix. It looks good; small and compact but feels comfortable in my hand and the buttons aren't too small, it is very user-friendly, it has a high megapixel sensor and good optical zoom, a good battery life and ultimately, most importantly, it produces excellent photos. This camera comes with many modes ... ...The first I would like to mention is the automatic function. If you are not looking to tweak your settings and wish to just take quick snaps then this is the function for you. It automatically selects all the settings for you and you just point and shoot.
Next in ease of use is the anti-shake mode. This ensures your pictures do not blur because of camera movement and has worked quite well when I have used it.

I really like this camera, small and well built. The results are excellent, a good sharp lens. The macro is exceptional especially if you like photographing flowers. There is a little bit of shutter lag but nothing you wouldn't expect from a compact. I think it gives very good accurate colours especially good are skin tones. I suppose the flash could be a bit stronger but the camera does give good low light photos. This is a take-anywhere camera ... ...a larger zoom range but you can always walk closer!
The battery life is amazing, 500+ photos! I bought this for holidays but now find I use it all the time. This has given me a new interest in photography and I expect to always use this little gem even when I upgrade to a digital SLR. ...

Perfect camera, great quality of picture. Good buy for this price. I've got it since september 2006 and never let me down. Main advantege is the batery life, which can last for about 500 photos, which is really good. Very easy to use, just turn it on and start making pictures. Good macro feture, you can make photos from as short distance as 3cm. Videos are not very good, on 1gb memory card you can fit about 11 minutes of video (it's not compressed). ...
