Disadvantages Strap not adjustable
I got this camera last November (2011) when my previous one broke, i sent my partner on the hunt for a camera that was high quality but wasn't going to cost the earth! He came back with this and I'm so happy he did!
My first opinion was it was lightweight and looks nice, the red colour is very nice! It has a 15x zoom we have taken many photo's in zoom, we went to London zoo in January and this camera took some amazing zoomed in photographs! You need to keep the camera in focus as much as possible when taking photographs in zoom but I find this quite simple.The zoom button is very simple to find and use, it is placed at the top of the camera and you slide it either way to zoom in and out.The camera has loads of settings, a wheel on the top with 8 settings, SP (for taking portraits that creates a soft skin and beautiful skin tone), ADV (take ultra Panasonic images up to 360Ëš by simply sweeping the camera), Auto (automatic mode setting according to shooting conditions), EXR (selects EXR mode and camera settings for each scene), P (automatic mode with a programmed setting), S (automatic mode with user setting the shutter speed), A ( automatic mode with the user setting the aperture) and M (manual mode with the shutter speed and the aperture). I generally tend to stick with using the Auto or EXR which have worked well for me so far.
The LCD screen is very good, wide and crisp. Good flash that can be easily switched on and off! Overall I am very happy with the camera and the price I paid for it. A camera with this amount of settings and high quality pictures that looks nice, is easy to use and small and lightweight to carry around.Only thing I think this camera needs is a better strap, the one that comes with the camera isn't adjustable and could be easily dropped.
So, all in all I am really enjoying this camera and would recommend to anyone looking to buy a new one.Detailed Rating
