I am very surprised at the positive comments so far as I was very dissapointed with my Fujifilm F50FD. I bought this as it was the most expensive I could afford at the time and I wanted to buy the most expensive so as to get the best picture quality that I could. That is definately not what I got with this Camera.
I personally find the picture quality to be extremely dissapointing. If you try to zoom in on pictures that are in anything other than bright daylight the images become incredibly grainy. I sent the camera back to Fujifilm repairs department at one point because I thought there must be something wrong with the camera as the pictures where that bad but they sent it back and told me there was nothing wrong with it.
This is my first camera so I am not an expert but when I compare the picture quality to those of other peoples (cheaper) cameras I am astonished that they can zoom right in on pictures in much darker lighting with little or no distortion whereas this camera is extremely sensitive to light changes.
As most of the other reviews are posive I can only presume that people are not as fussed about picture quality as me as this camera does not have good picture quality. I would advise anyone thinking of buying this camera to test it out in the store in different lighting (and zoom in on the picture) before they buy it. However I think you would be well advised to spend your money elsewhere as you can get a better model for much less money.

Advantages: Great picture quality, easy to use and get used to, AV Out Disadvantages: Fairly heavy camera, not as aesthetically pleasing as Sony cameras

Advantages: face detection, 2.7 inch screen, easy to use, stylish looks, 12mp, different settings for different areas. Disadvantages: 3x optical zoom...would be nice to of had a bit more.

Advantages: High mega pixel, enough functions to play, looks good and feels great. Disadvantages: Could do with a manual focus and a mode for landscape shooting.
