The lense is also silver, an the red and silver together make the camera attractive, and give it a sleek sophisticated finish. On the top of the camera is the on/off button and next to that is the button to take pictures. These are quite close together, and on a couple of occassions i have actually gone to take a picture and ended up turning the camera off, it would have been nice to have the buttons a little further apart, but i wouldn't say that this is a huge design flaw.
Turning the camera over, i found a good sized colour screen. Next to the screen on the right hand side at the top are the zoom in and out buttons, Below those are the display button and the play button which allows you to flick from shooting mode to view the pictures that have been taken. Below those are a bi circle button which has menu written on it, around this button are the delete, flash, timer and macro buttons. All of the buttons are silver. I found that the buttons were much more well spaced out, and the positioning was good.
Included in the camera box, was the camera, a battery, a battery charger which plugs into a mains plug socket, a hand strap, a USB cabple aninstruction manual and a cd rom.
The instruction manual i found was easy to navigate, and explained the workings of the camera in a manner which was easy to understand. The manual also has a troubleshooting section for if you experience any problem with the camera. This is handy to have, although i must say i have never had to use it since i have not had a single problem with this camera at all.
You will need a memory card for the camera as it does not have a very big internal memory, but this is true of most diital cameras, so again i would not consider this to be a flaw of the camera.
I did not have to install the software provided with the camera, sonce my computer recognised the camera straight away, but other people who have the same camera as me who have had to install the software, have reported that it was quick and easy to do, and had easy to follow instructions.
As regards taking pictures, the 8.2 mega pixels certainly lives up to expectations, the pictures are of a very high quality, and the colour quality is also very good.
The battery life for me usually lasts for a couple of nights or days out, and since i end to take a lot of pictures when i use my camera, i would say that the battery life is very good, there is a battery icon on the scrren which tells you at what charge the battery is at, and when the battery gets low, the icon turns red to warn you.
Unfortunately im a clumsy person, and my poor camera has taken its fair share of tumbles, however despite this i have found that the camera is very strong and still has not got a single scratch on it despite my clumsiness.
Price, the RRP for this camera is around £70, which i think is actually quite reasonable, for such a good quality product, and it is available from all major retailers, mine was purchasd from argos.
Overall i love this camera, it is light, and good looking, takes high quality pictures and is easy to use., it has a long battery life, and is also quite durable. I would recommend this to anyone whos looking for camera with the qualities i have mentioned.

I received this camera as a Christmas present from my hubby, after shying away from many other cameras as they were too complex! I wanted a real point and shoot design, with no fiddly menus to navigate, but also something that would take great photos in low light (pub, evenings out etc). I am absolutely delighted with this camera, we have examined the test shots we've taken and the detail is incredible. The flash does not wash out photos like many ... ...still clear and not blacked out. We also tested a Casio Exilim (approx £50 more expensive) and found the Fuji far superior, in terms of build quality, ease of use and picture quality.
A tip for everyone using an Apple Mac, as I've read other reviews saying people are having problems downloading their pictures - go straight to iPhoto and import and don't bother with the software provided with the camera, it is easy peasy! I have it in the gorgeous ...

The fujifilm camera is compact but has a reasonable size view finder, it fits into even small handbags. The menu system is easy to work and has great zoom capability (X5). I got mine for £74.99 but now seen it cheaper. It was absolutely a great buy, the only fault I have found so far is I'm not convinced about the shutter speed for faster action shots. ...

Receiced this camera last christmas and haven't stopped using it! It's light and small so I can take it everywhere with me. It has good battery life and good memory space.
