Intro My trusty Vivtar camera had given up the ghost, lens jammed out one pic and the whole lot froze. Removing the batteries and trying to reset proved to no avail. DesignThe finepix S1600 is not a professional SLR digital camera but rather the next best thing for anyone who doesn't care for photography but can appreciate good quality photographs. This was given to me as a present from my father in 2011 he knew that I wanted an SLR but understood I have no real interest in photography and I love his choice of getting me this camera. I purchased this camera a while back and in my opinion it is a really good camera for ameture photographers. Its really small and lightweight and you as it is a bridge camera you dont have to worry about lugging extra lenses around with you. It has the functions of a digital SLR but it also has an automatic mode for you people who dont tknow the technical side of photography. It has really good picture quality with 12 megapixel and a decent zoom at 15x optical.
