Download is fast through a USB connector and the storage using the 1GB IBM drive is amazing, 430 images at the top jpg resolution, over 5000 at the lower resolution. No need to take the laptop on holiday with you now! Well, the holy grail of digital imaging is the SLR digital camera. This is to allow the interchanging of lenses and its here that the problem lies! When a CCD gets hot, it attracts dust. Change the lens whilst using the camera and there is a high chance that dust will get on the CCD. Sometimes this can be cleaned off, with extreme care but other times, the dust literaly melts intop the CCD. So far my company has sent 2 bodies back to Fuji for CCD replacment. I have changed the lens on mine in the most sterile conditions but still got dust on it. Until this problem is overcome, digital SLR's will not be a viable alternative to 35mm for professional photographers

Definitely a camera for those with a bit more cash and looking for an SLR Nikon bodied camera. You buy the camera with no lens but then Fuji assume you have Nikon Lenses to fit. It also comes with no memory card and you will probably need something large like an IBM Micro Drive It is a 6 Mega Pixel output which means huge prints and has every manual control of any good SLR. Unlike the Nikon D1 it comes with all the cables and some seriously useful ...

I havent owned a camera for over ten years so I had no idea about what to look for in a digital camera. As I had decided to go to America on holiday I got advice from a friend on what to look for in a digital camera.
He advised me to go for a camera that had a screen on the back to view my images, a camera with at least 3 million pixels and finally a camera with built in zoom.
The Fuji FIne Pix inclded all of the above.
Not having any experience ... ...one so easy to use. Without even reading the instructions I was able to take pictures within minutes of my purchase.
Installing the bundles software was also a doddle and again I was able to edit my saved images within an hour.
As a complete novice I would not hesitate to recommend this camera to anyone. ...
