ok so i bought this as an upgrade from a Samsung 10MP digicam...

this cam has 14MP, 18x digi zoom, flip-up-flash, a variety of settings and modes...

so im not here to tell you the spec.. if you want to know the spec you can go to their website and read it... dont be lazy...

at first i thought.... hmm looks ok... until i took it out of the box... the very first thing i noticed is the plastic casing has this weird effect on it that looks like someone's spilt coke over it...

so i opened the battery cap which i was supprised to notice it runs off 4x AA batteries... with the batteries in the camera felt lobsided to hold because it was heavier on the battery side where the grip is..

finding you way through the modes is easy enough and it gives a brief explanation to what modes do what... i found the zoom was very good up to 18x after that it starts to pixilate.. good points:

• panorama mode is VERY good as you take 1 pic and line up a cross to a circle with a hollow cross in the middle and it automatically takes the next picture...
• if you press down on the keypad on the back before taking a picture it gives you a smaller area to concentrate on which in effect zooms after you take the pic
• on manual mode there is a range of things to play with such as shutter speed, exposure e.t.c...
• in the setup menu i noticed that there is a mode to tell your camera which type of batteries these are alkaline, NiMH and lithium..
• the face detection is good

bad points:

• the flash feels flimsy as if it would break as is the battery cover...
• the eyepiece is VERY dark and theres a lot of visible noise
• the view screen is also very noisey...
• when you take pictures 95% will turn out noisey even if you spend ages takin pictures to get 1 decent one..
• battery life is claimed to be able to take up to somethin stupid like 300 on alkaline batteries... yet i got about 20...

deffinatly wouldnt recommend buying this camera even as a first camera... you can get much better pics with digicams... you get what you pay for a suppose..
