Advantages Advantages High resolution camera that is easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Bulky and pricy.

Let me start by saying this - the Fujifilm Finepix S3000 is a fantastic camera. My girlfriend received this camera for her birthday a few months ago and while at first hesitant, she eventually let me play with it too. I've used digital cameras in the past ranging from your cheap 'bundled' options to mid-range devices such as the Nikon Coolpix. This is undoubtably a much much better camera. Let's begin with the specs. This camera boasts a resolution of 3.2million pixels, 6x optical zoom, and up to 3.2x digital zoom, a 38-228mm lens, autofocus and both automatic and manual modes. It weighs ... more

Advantages Advantages Compact, Simple to use, Long Battery Life

Disadvantages Disadvantages Screen can hide blurred images, Flash isn't the quickest at recharging

Well I took the splash and replaced my aging Kodak digital camera, and having seen the S3000 adverts in bus shelters all around me, the camera intrigued me. A quick trip down to Currys (who had 30% off Fujifilm cameras at the time) to have a look and I was sold. The first thing about any product that you notice is how it looks. And I think Fuji got this one just right. It looks like an expensive SLR camera. It's silver, and so it looks great in any light (although the black adds a touch of ruggedness to the camera's two bigger brothers the S5000 and S7000). And the dials on the top make it ... more

We bought this camera as was a good price range for us and as we started to go on hols every year we thought we buy a decent camera that would do the job for us we went to currys and this is what we bought in the end a good camera for the every day person. the camera had loads for features : Resolution and color - The camera produces output files of 3.15 million recorded pixels, resulting in crisp, vibrant prints up to 8 x 10 inches in size. -- Long reach - The FinePix S3000 also offers a long reach wide aperture 6x optical and 3.2x digital zoom, and works with optional wide and telephoto lens ... more

Advantages Advantages Great features for the professional or the novice

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not as compact as most digital cameras

The Fuji FinePix S3000 Zoom is a very stylish and affordable update of the FinePix S304 Zoom. The main difference between the two models is a video-out connection for immediate playback of images via your TV screen. The Fuji FinePix S3000 Zoom has a 3 megapixel sensor, like most other digital cameras at the entry-level end of the market, but it stands out from the crowd due to its 6x optical zoom, which is equivalent to 38–228mm on a 35mm camera. The Fuji FinePix S3000 Zoom has significantly fallen in price since its launch in August 2003 and can now be purchased for under £200 indeed its now ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent zoom, easy to use, great tv out, great software

Disadvantages Disadvantages No sound, Heavy drain on batteries, expensive memory cards

I have been using this camera for 4 months now, and have even let my 12-year old daughter use it (it really is that easy). The picture quality is really very good - and indicates a good set of optics in this camera. Although it is not classed as an SLR digital camera, it does look like one and has the same advantages (what you see is what you get) the viewfinder is digital not optical and shows the picture through the zoom lens. I paid £189 back in February from Jessops and got a very nice leather case to fit. Best place for the memory cards I have found is Amazon 128Mb for £29.99 (free ... more
