This camera is my first "real" digital, and I worried about its ease of use. I needn't have - within 30 minutes of taking it out of its packaging, I was taking photos that were suitable for framing.

This camera has "real" camera" heft, which is something I specifically sought. I've tried the slimline cameras and they are just too tiny for me, with buttons that are too small for my fingers. I also needed a larger LCD display, and this one is 2.5 inches. It is not overwhelmed with buttons; most of the options are accessed through the "menu" button so things don't get overly confusing.

This is an amazingly easy camera to operate, and it has bountiful features for any type of subject; from sunsets to snowflakes. I highly recommend the "museum" setting for flashless, soundless photography of animals - some of the best photos I've ever taken of my pets have been since I purchased this item. Photo storage with a memory chip is 484 images at the lowest resolution; I normally set it at 39 images for frame-quality prints. This camera was used to photograph my wedding, and I got photos so beautiful that I was sorry I didn't run out and buy a second camera for my new husband - this one is never out of my hands long enough for him to get a chance to use it!
