The surface is smooth and shines just the same as glass, making the film virtually invisible when applied. The film surface is composed of a very strong non-stick coating, allowing for even ballpoint pen and overhead marker ink dry erasable. The Vikuiti DQC160 display protection film is particularly easy to apply, since the adhesive layer is not sticky. This film virtually self-tightens to the display during application and can be removed or repositioned without a problem. Since the film is anti-static, no dust is attracted during the application. Doubly polarized (antireflective)The protector is called "doubly polarized" because the protector's surface is, first of all, matte, which disperses mirror images, and, secondly, all reflections are reduced by a special coating. Thus the material is ideally suited for use outside, e.g., when navigating or taking photos.2. Dirt-repellent surfaceThe surface is highly resistant against fingerprints and dirt, which are frequently visible with anti-reflective coatings. Furthermore, because of an easy clean feature, they can easily be wiped off with a dry cloth.3. Scratch-resistant surfaceThe protector's hard surface offers an extremely good scratch protection for the screen. Advantages: DSLR functions at a fraction of the price, high quality pictures Disadvantages: need to devote some time to learn how to use it's many features.
...later I upgraded to a Fujifilm E550 which was a great compact camera - it had a good quality 6.3 megapixel sensor and full manual but it wasn't really that user-friendly and used to eat batteries which was annoying when it turned itself off just as you lined up the perfect picture!
So a couple of years on and I once again found myself in a position where I wanted to upgrade - this time I decided on a "proper" camera, one which would take high-quality ... ...semi-manual options for creative purposes, and also a fully automatic mode for ease of use. It should also have a good zoom, macro and look nice too :)
After some googling I decided a DSLR would be perfect, but unfortunately they are about £300 over my budget! This is where the S9600 steps in - it is somewhere in the middle between a compact digital camera and a DSLR.
It has a huge zoom lens, you can't change the lens, but it's 10.7 zoom (28 - ...

Advantages: near DSLR quality, high resolution Disadvantages: hungry on batteries, no dedicated external flash unit available
This is a gorgeous camera. When I worked as a professional photographer, I always used Fuji film for my work. It was always colourful and reliable and so when I decided to get back into photography seriously after a break of almost 20 years, I looked at the specifications and (deciding I didn't at that time want the hassle of different lenses) decided on the Fuji S7000. Six months later and I upgraded to the S9600 as it had a better lens and better ... ...the way you can move the viewing screen. This allows you to get really low or hold the camera above your head (great for concerts) and still see the image you are shooting.
The lens control is great and the Fuji lenses perform quickly and quietly. You have the choice of motorised zoom or manual and there si a comprehensive range of modes available. The viewfinder display seems small as it is a viewer rather than mirror (as in traditional SLR's) ...

Advantages: Picture quality, manual features, movies, tilting screen, robust feeling, fantastic zoom and picture size Disadvantages: Size and weight can be a hindrance for some people, although I actually like this.
The Fujifilm s9600 is a phenomenal camera. I bought it a couple of months ago from Amazon and have not had a single problem (apart from delayed delivery). The item itself is not an SLR, but the quality of pictures it produces is right up there with the semi-pros in my opinion. I am only a photography enthusiast, so like to fiddle with options and manual controls when I can, but often flip it to Auto mode when a quick photo is needed.
The s9600 has ... ...camera - absolutely perfect if you want outstanding picture quality without the expense of additional lenses. When deciding what to buy, I was debating for quite a while whether I should go for the Canon 400D or this. In the end I came down on the Fuji due to its amazing zoom capacity (10.7x optical) and macro all in one. I just couldn't justify the cost of the Canon and all the other equipment I would need to have this range of focus.
Pretty much ...

Advantages: All the pro's of an SLR Disadvantages: A tad bulky but definately worth it!
I bought this camera as my move up from the standard digital compact which most people have now days.
I started taking photography slightly more serious and felt that in order to expand beyond the limits of the \'auto\' mode found on most cameras i needed to find myself something i could alter and manipulate to work the way i wanted.
I searched and played around with a number of cameras, compacts and SLR\'s but i eventually ended up with the s9600. ... ...the quality if superior to anything ive witnessed for that price and the fact is. You get all that SLR quality in this camera for the price of a mere compact.
I would advise this to anyone, whether your a total novice who just wants to snap all day long or the more professional photographer i certainly will hold my word that you will not find anything quite like this camera for the price.
Its totally adaptable to any situation and you can still ...

Manufacturer's product description
The camera's 10.7x (28-300mm 35mm equivalent) zoom lens incorporates aspherical elements that result in a sharper image. The aspherical elements in the lens ensure that the path of light is as precise as possible, which in turn minimises distortion and aberrations. The lens is easily controlled via a manual zoom ring to give pinpoint accuracy when composing images. Furthermore, its fixed housing ensures that users do not have to contend with specks of dust or dirt collecting on the sensor. This can compromise image quality and is a drawback often associated with conventional digital SLRs.
