ConsNo fireworks mode, turns on in pocket, noisy

For the price, you can't go wrong with this camera. The pictures it takes are as good as most cameras twice the price. That's the number one advantage of this camera, and the reason I bought it. It's extremely small and light, allowing me to carry it around in my pocket (just wrapped in a...

I've had this camera for a few years now and it's still just as great as when I bought it! It was around £100 brand new when I first got it, which was - and still is - brilliant for a 10.0 MP camera. They come in a variety of colours (I have blue) and come with a detachable wrist strap, lithium...

ProGood looking camera, fun features.

ConsNone

Fuji has expanded its range of cameras with this well designed Z20fd, 10 mega pixle camera. The Z20fd has a cool, straightforward design, with a sliding cover on the front that protects the lens and also acts as the on/off switch. Although the body feels soft and light, it is in fact brushed...

ConsNeed a really steady hand, quality is average.

I bought the Fujifilm Z20fd in about April 2009 in preparation for a holiday abroad with friends. It cost about £110 then but is obviously cheaper now. I thought that it was great value at the time, so now it's an even better deal! It's a great point-and-click camera. Don't expect anything...

Not for me

published 04/10/2008

I brought this because Fuji to me are quality, however this camera was out and out rubbish, images were that of a very low end camera very grainy even on the best setting, I was dumfounded, I sent it back and got a Sony W`50.....Wonderful.....I said in a reveiw I did for Sony I have owned quite a few cameras, most of them were Fuji and Sony. Bye Bye Fuji you have let me down big time.

Product Information : Fujifilm FinePix Z20fd

Manufacturer's product description

The Z20fd Finepix digital still camera features face detection to significantly improve your picture taking by identifying human subjects' faces in the frame (up to 10 faces) and in real time, determining the optimal focus and exposure settings for the absolute best results possible in any shooting conditions. Behind Fujifilm's face detection technology is a newly developed LSI chip combined with patented software that allows the FinePix Z20fd digital still camera to reach a level of performance in digital photography never before possible. And the sophisticated, intelligent software algorithms detect red-eye and correct it in-camera. More than just red-eye reduction, this is red-eye elimination, after the image has been captured, to assure every picture looks its best. The FinePix Z20fd with picture stabilization will automate professional photographic techniques to help reduce camera shake, freeze subject movement and improve low light background detail. Picture stabilization utilizes higher sensitivities, up to ISO 1600 in the Z20fd, an incredibly high signal to noise ratio, and faster shutter and operational speeds to deliver virtually blur free images where conventional digital cameras cannot. The Finepix Z20fd features high sensitivity of up to 1600 ISO at full resolution. It is combined with Fujfilm's advanced processor capabilities, shooting in low light environments with the Z20fd yields exceptional performance with less noise. The FinePix Z20fd is designed with style and fashion in mind for the youthful photographer that's on the move. The Finepix Z20fd features an xD / SD / SD-HC compatible slot, allowing the use of either xD picture card or SD media to store and transfer your photos. This convenient and flexible capability assures compatibility with a wider variety of applications than ever before, and allows users to choose the media technology that is right for them.
