Travels with my 400D

Advantages: Cheap, good image quality, leading brand, good entry level camera
Disadvantages: Perhaps slightly small

Travels with my 400D I’ve been putting off writing this review for months and months. I’ve been waiting until I know just about as much about the camera as I possibly can, but I’ve come to the conclusion that this will never happen, so I’m just going to do it. It may also have to do with the fact that term ended on Tuesday, I have a massive amount of revision to do, and I’m procrastinating. It’s an unanswerable question. **This is a very long review as I’m going to assume that anyone reading this knows absolutely nothing about photography, so apologies if you do and I come across as patronising. Also, as I write this, I find it’s turning into as much of a digital camera tutorial as well as a review of the 400D itself. This is the only way I can find to review the camera properly ...

Fujifilm Strike Again

Advantages: The camera is brilliant, everything I wanted and didn't get with my vivitar camera
Disadvantages: I wanted a red one :D That's it really. A few problems with the scene modes but nothing too bad

a huge fan of silver, but I do understand that the reason it?s cheaper is because of its colour. You have three colours on the camera, a very dark silver, light silver and black. It does look very stylish if I say so myself, it would have looked better in black or red even, but it does look quite posh, and durable which is something that you want with a camera and which is something I did not get with the previous camera. The lens is tiny, it only takes up a small portion of the front of the camera, however takes some amazing pictures, it only comes out about two finger lengths, and even when you are zooming it does not get any bigger. I found when attempting to take pictures of a cat on our garden the other night, I a bit of a hard time with my Fujifilm S8000, which is a bridge SLR camera, the cat got very scared of the lens which kept ...

My Picture Mate!

Advantages: easy to use, excellent results
Disadvantages: Haven't found any

was very easy to do, but the quality of the photos was not very good because of the low resolution on the camera on my mobile phone. I probably won't use this feature very much. The photos were still of a reasonable quality though, so if I'm out and about without my camera, I could take a picture on my phone and print it when I get home. I find it is really easy to use. There is a colour LCD screen that can be lifted up when in use. Both paper trays (where paper is inserted and where photo comes out) also fold down which makes it much easier for storage. The LCD screen allows you to view the photos before selecting the ones that you want to print. Photos can be printed in a variety of forms. The printer only prints on 6 x 4 size paper. (The paper tray holds 20 sheets at a time.) Photos can be printed with or without a border. Two can ...
