...FujiFilm xD Card
As I use only FujiFilm digital cameras – see previous product reviews on Ciao – I generally buy their memory. Until recently I had a variety of xD cards in various sizes.
To be honest these pretty much met my needs, the highest being 512mb. Now this would hold around 240 pictures using the 6.0mp picture size.
But, eager as I am to always have things bigger and better, I had been considering buying a 1gb card for a while. Don’t know why I did not, but while I was thinking along comes the sooper dooper 2gb version.
I had to have it. I mean just had to! Why? Who knows? I’ll never be able to take enough photos in a year to fill it unless I give up my day job.
The card will hold a massive 950 (or so) pictures at 6.0mp.
I normally take photos at 3.0mp as this is more than adequate in terms of printing...

...I have a Fuji Finepix 2400 digital camera which uses smart media. The camera came with a 8MB card which would only hold 30 photos on full resolution sso I decided to order an additional card. I purchased an original Fuji 32MB Smart media card by mail order from Insight. I still found that it was a little restrictive. If you go on holiday for two weeks to somewhere new it's nice to shoot away - especially when film and developing is not a consideration anymore. So I hunted around and found that my local PC dealer in Nottingham could supply me a non-branded 64MB card for the same price as the 32MB branded Fuji version. It's made by Dane-elec and has a 10 year warranty! Half the price of Fuji and it works fine....

Advantages: Cheaper and quality is just as good Disadvantages: Not stocked everywhere
...I was recently given a Fuji MX camera as a 21st birthday gift. It is a good camera but the problem I found was with the memory cards. It came with a 4mb card which is very limited in terms of capacity and so I looked into buying another.
I first visited the likes of comet who quoted £40 for a 8mbFujiFilm card. I asked if there were any other cards on the market (non-branded) and was told no.
I then tried a local proffessional camera shop. The chap was very helpful and said that he did not stock FujiFilm cards as they were too expensive. Instead he offered me a non branded card that has worked perfectly since I purchased it. It came with a 1 year guarantee and cost HALF the price of the FujiFilm card.
The large chain stores should better train their staff if they wish to offer a higher level of customer service. They should also...

This DSLR camera was over £1000 when it first came on the market. Now it is under £500 and it is a bargin of a DSLR for the money.
It shares a body with the Nikon D200. Because of this it can be used with Nikon Lens' and D200 accessories.
It uses... more
When i opened the box for my Fuji S5800 camera about a month ago, I knew that I had made a good choice for my second camera. I still have my Pentax Optio S7 but I wanted a camera that would allow me much more creativity with my photos.

This is the latest digita camera I have and I must say this is a very good camera. The best feature of this camera is definitely the lens, which offers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 27-486mm, which allows both wide angle shooting and also extreme... more

IMAGE QUALITY: It does have good points however. 7.2 Megapixels isn't bad for the price. The Optical Zoom is a slightly below-average 3x, with a respectable 4.8 Digital Zoom. Most features, however, are only standard - nothing unusual. This... more
I thought having reviewed some of the DSLR cameras I own or use it was about time I spoke a little about one of my favourite point and shoot digital cameras. There are so many digital cameras to choose from these days you would be forgiven for thinking... more
