Advantages: Easy to use & brilliant results Disadvantages: The auto function doesn't always produce the best photos
...Having spent a lot of time researching before I bought my new digital camera I'm sure I've finished up with the best around at the moment. I previously owned a Sony FD88 Digital with zoom, only to find that it wasn't really a zoom lens; it just enlarged the image. Which meant that the more I zoomed in the less number of pixels on the finished photo? The Fuji though is a real digital camera & although I've only had it a few weeks it is easy to operate & the quality is brilliant. I bought a 256mb Compact Flash Card(£129.99)which, when set to Fine & 6m pixels will hold 108 images. The camera comes with a standard 16mbcard.
Don't rely too much on the ‘Auto’ function, get to know the more complex controls & you will be well rewarded.
Besides the normal functions the camera also has the ability to take movie clips & has extra features...

...I have a Fuji Finepix 2400 digital camera which uses smart media. The camera came with a 8MBcard which would only hold 30 photos on full resolution sso I decided to order an additional card. I purchased an original Fuji 32MB Smart media card by mail order from Insight. I still found that it was a little restrictive. If you go on holiday for two weeks to somewhere new it's nice to shoot away - especially when film and developing is not a consideration anymore. So I hunted around and found that my local PC dealer in Nottingham could supply me a non-branded 64MBcard for the same price as the 32MB branded Fuji version. It's made by Dane-elec and has a 10 year warranty! Half the price of Fuji and it works fine....

Advantages: Cheaper and quality is just as good Disadvantages: Not stocked everywhere
...I was recently given a Fuji MX camera as a 21st birthday gift. It is a good camera but the problem I found was with the memory cards. It came with a 4mbcard which is very limited in terms of capacity and so I looked into buying another.
I first visited the likes of comet who quoted £40 for a 8mbFujiFilmcard. I asked if there were any other cards on the market (non-branded) and was told no.
I then tried a local proffessional camera shop. The chap was very helpful and said that he did not stock FujiFilmcards as they were too expensive. Instead he offered me a non branded card that has worked perfectly since I purchased it. It came with a 1 year guarantee and cost HALF the price of the FujiFilmcard.
The large chain stores should better train their staff if they wish to offer a higher level of customer service. They should also...

This is a gorgeous camera. When I worked as a professional photographer, I always used Fuji film for my work. It was always colourful and reliable and so when I decided to get back into photography seriously after a break of almost 20 years, I looked at more

This is the latest digita camera I have and I must say this is a very good camera. The best feature of this camera is definitely the lens, which offers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 27-486mm, which allows both wide angle shooting and also extreme... more

IMAGE QUALITY: It does have good points however. 7.2 Megapixels isn't bad for the price. The Optical Zoom is a slightly below-average 3x, with a respectable 4.8 Digital Zoom. Most features, however, are only standard - nothing unusual. This... more
After being stung for a camcorder which inevitably caused me an immense about of grief at home it was time to replace our dust gathering digital camera for a series of weddings, christenings and days out. Obviously the thought of spending more cash on a... more
I thought having reviewed some of the DSLR cameras I own or use it was about time I spoke a little about one of my favourite point and shoot digital cameras. There are so many digital cameras to choose from these days you would be forgiven for thinking... more
